Banning the use of horses for meat means many thousands will die a horrible death due to starvation.
Do-gooders are not helping horses by making unwanted horses worthless. They are livestock, not furry pets. Meat markets allow a humane end to their life if they are no longer usefulm otherwise they are often just abandoned and meet a horrible, painful end.
We have to kill them to save them! lol Then let them go. cant do that because the true reason comes out, welfare ranchers on dirt cheap grazing leases don’t like anything to eat grass except their cows.
Horses have been here longer than grazing cattle, or at least at about the same time. BLM needs to quit rounding them up.
Donate the healthy ones to ranchers that could use them. Kill the useless ones. Use the meat to feed someone, and use the rest for whatever else the corpses are good for.
