ABC News ^ | Sept 12, 2016 | ARLETTE SAENZ

President Obama will veto a bill allowing families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia in U.S. courts, White House press secretary Josh Earnest announced today.

"That is still the plan," Earnest said. "The president does intend to veto this legislation."

He added, "It's not hard to imagine other countries using this law as an excuse to haul U.S. diplomats or U.S. service members or even U.S. companies into courts all around the world."

The measure, which passed the House and Senate by a voice vote, would give families of 9/11 victims the ability to sue Saudi Arabia for any alleged involvement in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Interesting that the bill authorized a lawsuit against a nation, Saudi Arabia.

But Josh Earnest defended the veto by bringing up diplomats and service members. Maybe Josh thought that 'Saudi Arabia' was some foreign diplomat's name.

naturally the Puppet has to protect his Puppet-masters

any American effort to arrest or charge Soros would get similar treatment by O

but at least this episode helps make clear for more folks out there, who it is that the DNC/Obama/Hillary/Kerry actually work for

Maybe he could use his executive authority to switch it around so that Saudi Arabia could sue the 9-11 families. Just make sure they have to send all their money over there in cash. It’s the Obama way.

BRING IT! WHAT ... a campaign issue.Screwing the little guy once again in favor of the DC establishment puppets. And oh, Clintoon is if for 20% of her total ownership as the Saudis make up 20% of her contributions. She CAN’T be for the bill, and no matter what she says it gives Trump the stick to beat her with daily.

That bill was passed unanimously in both houses. There should be no problem overriding the Muslim.

B Hussein Obama: “I was born to a Muslim father, I was educated in a Muslim school (Madrassah), I was raised a Muslim (by 2 devout Muslim fathers), so damm right I am going to protect other Muslims (Saudi’s) from Christian law suits from America.”

They had enough votes when it was passed that his veto can be overridden, unless enough threats and bribes are made.

Forget U.S. diplomats Barry, since you've been more than willing to let them be murdered at their posts, and as far as U.S. service members, and U.S. companies go, your administration has seen fit to persecute and prosecute them without any other country asking you to.

Thank you for referencing that article Leaning Right. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots, please remember that the Founding States made the Constitution’s Clause 2 of Section 7 of Article I to clarify that Congress can override presidential vetoes with 2/3 vote of both Houses.

But corrupt Congress will probably not override the veto of the referenced bill, the bill arguably an election year dog-and-pony show.

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will also put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional inteference in state affairs.

Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

One of my more reasonable liberal acquaintances pointed out that it might open the door to foreign victims of U.S. military activity suing the U.S. in the same manner. Does he have a point, or is it apples and oranges?

Well, it’s not as if the threat of major financial responsibility might cause Middle Eastern governments to crack down on their terrorist communities.
