Biden was too mentally distraught over son’s death to run for President last year. How do we know he’s mentally capable now?

And on a side note, this whole debacle give the senate cover to not even think about confirming Obama’s supreme court pick.

The Dems will lose the election even if they could win in the crooked courts. They’d make such a mess of this election that they’d assuredly lose at the ballot box. Trump is going win this anyways though.

A link to LS’s thread detailing why the Dems are so screwed. He made several good points.

If they pick Biden over Bern, this could be lots of fun to watch.
Much of the hard core Blue States are Bern supporters.

Votes go to the “elector.” I would assume that the “electors” are not going to be any different. So, while the people mark the ballot for Hillary, they are really voting for the democrat party hack (or republican party hack) that gets to vote.

If I was a Bernie Sanders voter I would be livid!....................

They are! Just go to the message boards. This is going to restart the pissed Bernie fight with the DNC....at least with his voters.

They can not get rid of Hillary until after the last vote is cast....the party with going to eat itself alive.

Bernie Sanders supporters would never go for this.....it is rigged!

After Bernie conceded the nomination, he withdrew from the Democrat party and registered as an independent. The DNC will no doubt use that as justification for not considering Bernie as the replacement.

I don’t think she will step down. I think this is all wishful thinking by those who know she will lose in November.

“Slow Joe”.

This is a guy who was elected to the US Senate when he was too young to be sworn in (29), was elected to six consecutive terms, invented Borking, invented Anita Hill, and helped “Obama” to win Pennsylvania.

As an electoral politician, he’s a genius, and in my opinion he would beat Trump easily, unlike Hillary, who is going to lose and cause a lot of down-ticket damage.

I hope this rumor isn’t true.

that’s because the cowardly GOP never fought them...granted- i don’t expect anything different this time around..

I'm with you there, and that's just one of the concerns. I see a lot of folks here saying "This will NEVER happen" and "They can't do that" and "There's no way" and "It's too late", but the hard truth of the matter is, in politics, NOTHING is guaranteed. I recall a point in time when many of us were absolutely certain the SCOTUS would shoot down obunghole care, because it was absolutely, positively UN-Constitutional. It still is today, mind you, but that hasn't stopped the lawlessness of the DNC and this administration, which has repeatedly ignored the Constitution. As you point out, so long as the Republicans refuse to fight back, the Constitution really has no teeth.

This is more or less uncharted territory, and I really think we need to be prepared for the chance of a last minute Biden candidacy, and the implications that come with it. We can say all we want all the different things that will make it not possible, but guaranteed, the dummycracts WILL FIGHT, and the GOP WILL ROLL OVER for them. In all reality, none of us has any true idea of what could really come from this whole fiasco, if a Clinton resignation did come into play.

In New Jersey, it looks like its already a done deal.

"Recognized political parties are entitled to have the names of their presidential candidates placed on the general election ballot. A party must certify the names of its candidates with the secretary of state within one week after the party's national convention. A party's state convention must be held within one week following the close of the party’s national convention."

"An independent candidate seeking general election ballot access must file a petition with the secretary of state containing the signatures of 800 qualified state voters. This petition must be filed no later than 99 days before the general election."

Also, there is the "Sore loser" laws that seem to apply to Bernie: "Sore loser" laws for presidential candidates ... bar candidates who sought, but failed, to secure the nomination of a political party from running as independents in the general election. These restrictions are sometimes called "sore loser" laws. Under New Jersey state law, "a candidate who unsuccessfully sought the nomination of a political party" in a primary cannot run as an independent candidate for that same office in the general election.

Since we're way past the Democratic convention, the party's candidate has already been certified - Hillary - and it's too late for anyone else to get on the ballot.

This is your fault Bolshie voters, you should have voted for the Bitch when she was healthy. Odungo usurped her position. If ObOzO had waited, he could have been her heir and she could pass in peace.

Part of the deal, Bernie had to leave party so he couldn’t take Hillary’s place. They’ve known for a while Hillary won’t make it.

She'll never withdraw. All she has to do is get through (or have cancelled) 3 debates and then sit back and wait for her inauguration in January.

After that her work is done, and she can sit back, relax and bask in the glow of her adoring media.

All yesterday's politics, all in the PC world. I don't think those tactics will work against Trump anymore than they did in the primaries or for Hillary.

could be right....they’ve known all along she’d be bowing out just before the election....or sometime of because they’ve known she’s of very ill health.

They’d never stand for Bernie...and why Biden said he wouldn’t run...perhaps he’s going to be the back up after all and planned that way....

Such liars all of them!! No matter what they say they aren’t believable so i suppose since they know that they’ll just keep creating whatever it is they want....
