The American people are not buying guns in record number just to turn around and surrender them; they are buying them in preparation for war.

Sample polling question: "So, Mr. Republican gun owner, tell us exactly how many guns you have and where you keep them, so we can confiscate them more easily after Hillary is elected."
People no longer cooperate with pollsters. I bet the response rate to polling about gun ownership is tiny.

People no longer cooperate with pollsters. The last time the census takers came to my house I asked them for identification and when they complied, I simply told them that two people lived at my residence. That was it. I do not ever answer poll questions or offer any information to government drones.

I simply do not answer polls, ever. Pop up on screen? Nope. Want to help make our website better? Nope. Cold call on the phone...click. I’m not going to help anyone build a profile of me.

Could be, I am thinking of investing in a few 80% lowers in a smaller, more common caliber than what I prefer. Oddly, no one would know I have them, and the caliber would be common with what JBT use.
Alas, I own no .40 S&W or 9mm stuff.

.40 S&W is declining in popularity. I thought it was a great round, but the market is fickle.
If I was buying a new semi-auto these days, it would be .45ACP or 9mm, for practical reasons.

Well, the .40 is still a very common LEO and JBT round, and might be found in large quantities in some situations.
I never had any interest in it, the 10mm, OTOH. But have not yet gotten a conversion barrel for a certain pistol that I might have that shoots .45 ACP. It is said that .40 will shoot out of that as well.
Might be something to buy, just in case.

So why isn't the media telling you about it?Yes, why doesn't the media tell us the truth about things? There must be a reason.
It can't just be coincidence that they lie about so many things and fail to say anything about other things.

I never had a 40 precisely because of that. When there’s an ammo shortage, I’ve seen PDs from all over foraging over at my Walmart looking 40s....they then buy it all out.

Does it really make a difference? The irrelevant media doesn’t have to bother doing their jobs. Just go to or drive by a gun show. The one outside DC in Chantilly, Va. now happens almost once a month and the parking for it has creeped out to the surrounding streets. I don’t need the media to tell me what’s up from seeing that.

I would hope that this would translate into at least 44% of the vote going to Trump. I know it won't happen that way, sadly.

The Washington Post huffed, “people shouldn’t lie to pollsters. It’s unamerican and shows a lack of civic concern.”

Another 5% of households wont reveal whether they own a gun.Not counting the ones that said NO, I don't have guns anymore since my boat sank.
