This is what I wrote them - I hope they don't do it because I'm gone if they do. Please jump on their webernets if you feel so inclined!
I was born in Seattle in 1975 - In 1976 the Seahawks where born, coincidentally in Seattle as well. I have grown up with you. Jack Patera was it can hardly remember him. The real Curt Warner. Heros and positive people like Russell Wilson. This is a team, a community, a history, its not just these current players. Do you remember Pete Gross? We had a fullback who was a doctor not a bad fullback either. Please stand during the national anthem if you can't do that if you kneel know a proud and loyal fan will drop you like a bad habit. Please remember you are playing a game we like to watch and love how it unites our community; however, we are a community of Americans. Whatever gripes you have, you players of all people you have the the megaphone to voice them more so then most other private citizens I say to the players. Disrespecting the so many from all over, some who heros have died so these people have these superfluous but wonderful jobs is such a bad idea. Don't give in to the false ginned up wedge issues during election season. Its things like football that unite and bring us past these difficult issues we have together. I'm not you enemy I'm a huge fan stop what you are about to do is wrong and will damage you for a long time. You are exaggerating your importance in the grand scheme of things and are letting yourselves get distracted in a bunch of genuine hoopla. You will be lumped in with the hate America crowd - I understand you don't see it that way but you will and probably rightly so. Where was this outrage when you were uniting the community with championships and superbowl visits. Realize what disrespecting the flag means - It is implicitly understood you are making a political statement that during a time when a huge majority elected a black president this is a racist country and we need to make a big deal about this during a football game? Perspective - focus Lets win football games fellas thats what your here to do. Grow a pair. If you want to get involved in the political communtiy get off your ass in your own time like the rest of have to do. Seriously grow up and don't mess up a season because of jackassary.

For me already enough has happened (based on the lack of a serious response by the league on this issue) that I will not be watching.
A strong message needs to be sent loud and clean.
Let’s give up the “opium of the masses called” sports - at a minimum the NFL.
