Radio host Levin reverses course: ‘I’m gonna vote for Donald Trump’

After once declaring he could never support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee, Mark Levin changed his mind with a big announcement on his radio program Tuesday.

“I’m gonna vote for Donald Trump. I’m gonna wind up voting for Donald Trump on Election Day," the talk radio host said after reiterating his perspective that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was a far better choice for conservatives.

"I take no responsibility for the dumb things he says or the dumb things his surrogates say," he added of the GOP nominee and his campaign.

Levin's endorsement comes five months after unequivocally stating, "I am not voting for Donald Trump. Period.”

The 58-year-old syndicated radio host also noted that Trump has an uphill climb to win the White House, despite some recent national polls showing him tied or in the lead.

“Trump, despite the CNN poll (showing him 2 points up on Clinton Tuesday), has a lot of work to do to make up ground in these battleground states,” he said.

“But Hillary is so awful, I just don't know. I'm not in the prediction business."

Levin worked in the Reagan administration as a chief of staff for Attorney General Edwin Meese. He began his radio program in 2002.

Both Levin and Rush are irrelevant to me.

‘While it’s true that Levin supported Ted Cruz in the primaries he was always going to come-around to Trump once he nailed it down.’

Trump nailed it down at the convention. Levin’s been badmouthing him ever since.

I didn’t vote for Mitt but I couldn’t stand him and he sucked.

It's not JUST that he stunk, but he would have had a killer purge. These folks have shown it is about control, and LOCKING conservatives out permanently. I don't regard Trump as a philosophical conservative. But he has wisely allied with traditional conservatives and populists and will leave the new face and shape of the Republican Party in better hands. It will be up to us to pick up the puzzle pieces and make a better picture.

Trump has exposed the entire corrupt system. Rush/Levin/Beck thought they spoke for all of us and so did we until they were exposed. A big share of their hatred is jealousy that they are not leading the movement.

Hanging onto Cruz like he was a messiah showed poor judgement that they will never get back.

Worked on all Jesus' first disciples. Every one was a Jew.

That's why I used the qualifying word "often"!

Michael Savage and Laura Ingraham will be proven to be far more prescient than both Levin and Rush. Dennis Prager has been far more honorable than these two as well, as he is four square behind Trump with no snivelling reservations and lingering prejudices.

Absolutes mean nothing to talk radio hosts.

It’s very difficult to know the increase or decrease in listeners as the only published numbers are those for the whole time a station is on the air. In general, talk stations have been steady with some showing an increase in audience in the last survey.

About time, I think Hannity called him out and shamed him into finally realizing what's at stake here.

I can't stand his voice, don't often listen, but I hope this helps in some small way.

Yeah, and Levin hasn’t said a bunch of dumb things in his radio career.

"Otherwise, Mr.. Cruz will never have another political career again."

Too late...'Lyin' Ted' is toast in 2018 and 2020. If not primaried (I believe he will be though) the RATs have him clearly in their sights with one of the Castro's.

“I’m an avid listener of Mark Levin....... While it’s true that Levin supported Ted Cruz in the primaries he was always going to come-around to Trump once he nailed it down.”

Mark never supported Trump after the nomm. was nailed down, he continues to bash Trump to this day.

Good for you Mark. The vote will help.

You are, however, through as a pundit and spokesman for conservatism. Adios.

Levin can give his sanctimonious pronouncement about reluctantly deciding to now vote for Trump, but in my mind he's still and always will be a schmuck for everything he's said and done since the Convention. Had he done this after Trump was picked as the candidate, I would have some respect for him. But now?
