PM Netanyahu to receive the Herman Kahn Award for 2016 during his upcoming visit to the U.S., when he will address the U.N. General Assembly • Netanyahu to participate in panel discussion on U.S.-Israel relations and the challenges Israel faces.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is slated to receive the 2016 Herman Kahn Award from the Hudson Institute, a conservative American think tank, during his upcoming visit to the U.S. to give his annual address to the U.N. General Assembly on September 22.

While in New York, Netanyahu is scheduled to be the guest of honor at a Hudson Institute gala dinner. After the dinner, the prime minister will participate in an informal panel discussion with some of the senior members of the institute.

According to a report on the Jewish Journal website, Netanyahu will address the relationship between the U.S. and Israel and the challenges Israel is facing in the Middle East.

The Hudson Institute was founded by Herman Kahn in 1961, and its stated mission is to "help manage strategic transitions to the future through interdisciplinary studies" and to "guide public policy makers and global leaders and government and business."

As of now, Netanyahu's visit to the U.S. does not include a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama, who will leave office in January.

I’m very sure Natanyahu’s enemies would love to prevent him receiving this recognition. I sure hope his security is extra heavy during this visit to the U. S.

I don’t always agree with the guy, but he’s got more on the ball than many other Israeli leaders have had.

I hope Mr. Netanyahu meets with Donald J. Trump during his visit.

A planned visit to Israel by Mr. Trump fell through when there was hostility in the media to Trump’s views on limiting Muslim immigration earlier in the campaign.

It was around eight years ago at this time that Hillary Clinton was favored at a pro-Israel rally in New York and Sarah Palin (then VP candidate) was disinvited to attend the event.
