Maybe they are ignoring the prayer shawl because to them, it is no big deal.

I half expected them to mock it, not seeing it for the honor that it is.

I could be wrong...

I rather tend to agree with you. Plus, having Trump draped in a shawl by a black bishop isn’t good optics next to a picture of Hillary cackling with Paul McCartney.

Things that I wouldn’t have known had I not watched the presentation of the shawl (news reports I’ve seen haven’t mentioned, or I missed it):

1. The shawl is from Israel
2. The Bishop prayed and fasted over the shawl
3. Don’t recall the exact language but something to the effect of the shawl anoints him by God.

also the bibles presented (signed by the Bishop) - 1 for DJT and 1 for Melania
