He might be doing it willingly but on the other hand he might be forced to. There’s a lot of blackmail that goes on in politics.
If you can be blackmailed, you shouldn’t get into politics.....
I for one would like to run locally, but I did some injudicious things in my youth and again in my early middle age.
There are no official records of those things, but there are people out there who would remember.
If my name were to become public and related to any political office, I am pretty sure they would love to stick me like a boar hog.
The errors I made were personal things (not related to the law, but I was an IDIOT), but in today’s world of “Political Personal Destruction” they would be enough to destroy any political aspirations I would ever have.
Have I learned from those errors of my past; yes I have.
Have I asked forgiveness for those harmed by those errors; yes I have.
Did I receive forgiveness; yes I did (don’t know why, but they gave it).
Did I ask God for forgiveness; yes I did.
Would I ever consider a run for even local political office; NO, I WON’T.
Putting my name out there would only awaken some very old, not so fond memories.
It would not be good for my family or my country.
