Host used the ole ‘we are about out of time.’

Other times they use ‘hard break’ as an excuse.

So, how can they show full venues — speeches, breaking news, etc. — and NOT have to go to ‘hard breaks’?

The ole ‘out of time’ [they are on air 24/7] and ‘hard break’ are vehicles to end interviews that are not going as planned or expected or on topic with the preferred narrative.

The interviewee (victim?) should simply respond “I'll be here when your break is done”...
