I loved Passion and will look forward to this movie, although I think this is being spurred by the success of RISEN.

That and... Mel’s divorce cleaned him out of most of his Passion profits. He announced this new film as soon as he was out from under that financial mess. I don’t doubt his sincerity, just saying he has faced massive financial challenges. Imagine handing over hundreds of millions to someone who had no part in making your film.
