An anonymous NFL exec reportedly calls Colin Kaepernick a 'traitor'

It's pretty difficult to take the title of "Most Divisive Human Being" these days, but Colin Kaepernick somehow managed to steal the belt with his recent silent, sitting protest of the national anthem.

The 49ers quarterback is drawing lots of support, lots of anger and a truckload of internet outrage. He's also managed to draw anonymous NFL executives into the discussion.

Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman quoted a number of different anonymous NFL execs, with one calling him "a traitor" and another likening him to "Rae Carruth."

A sampling from Freeman's column:

"I don't want him anywhere near my team," one front office executive said. "He's a traitor."

One executive said he hasn't seen this much collective dislike among front office members regarding a player since Rae Carruth.

"He has no respect for our country," one team executive said. "F--k that guy."

Another said that if an owner asked him to sign Kaepernick, he would consider resigning, rather than do it.

This is all pretty hyperbolic. Kaepernick isn't doing himself any favors from a football perspective with his protest -- it's his unalienable right as an American to protest whatever he wants, but in terms of making him a more desirable football quantity, he's not helping himself.

kaepernick needs to remember that at the end of the day he is an entertainer and only one class of entertainers can insult the audience and get away with it and he isn’t funny enough to be in that class. Another thing to remember is that pretty little Egyptian girl he is chasing will probably lose interest in a guy who throws away a career for hundreds of millions of dollars- no matter how down for the cause he is.

...anonymous NFL executives...

Sounds like some real profiles in courage. How about somebody willing to use their name?

He says he’s half black, but he looks like a muslin. Is that about right?

Seems his mom is white. However, that shnozz on his face sure looks Arab; perhaps black Egyptian.

No, it is his Cal Berkeley, Black Lives Matter activist Muslim fiance that has converted him and destroyed him. Jezebel strikes again.

"I thought he was like an elite quarterback..."

Elite hell. He runs like Frankenstein's monster and was at the helm for games his team HAD to win... but didn't (Super bowl, NFC playoffs). Kaepernick is a turd in the punchbowl. He's Cinderella's ugly stepsister. He's a class-A solid bronze loser.

This isn’t the official NFL position. Ray Rice and Michael Vick are still playing, right? The show must go on.

Kinda the way things roll in today’s America. Political Correctness rules the day. Step out of line and you become a pariah.

Colin Kapernick might be taking heat, but the Media deep down approves of what he is doing. It’s the NFL exec’s who have to keep anonymous lest their careers end.

Women are like alcohol. They don’t really change men, they just reveal what was always there. If this schmuck was a man of character he would have ditched her, or never associated with her in the first place.

First time I ever saw him I called him a thug. Now...he's a moronic thug.

He sure as Hell won't be trashing his paycheck to protest income inequality.

“Anonymous execs? Gee, how brave of them”

Knowing the commies at ESPN and very other news / sports outlet would destroy you, smart if he wants to keep his job, house, wife, money.

"I wonder how many defensive players have parents who are LEO and have a shot at payback?"

Forgive me Almighty Father, for I have sinned. Forgive me for praying to you that one of this traitor's offensive linemen will simply step out the way upon the blitz of a hulking linebacker, who will then proceed to absolutely DEMOLISH Kaepernick, ultimately sending him on a comfortable ambulance ride to the ICU at the local ER...

This should've read: "...will simply step out OF the way..."
