I live in Maine and I always hold the door open for women.

Men sometimes, too...if a guy is directly behind me I prop the door open so it doesn’t close on him.

Everyone says “Oh, thank-you!” One older woman asked me if I was married!

P.S.: North Las Vegas is a rough area.

I am an older woman in Houston and I always hold the door if someone is behind me. Always and they usually say thank you.

I was leaving a pharmacy and when I looked up Barbara Bush and her SS were holding the door for me. She was actually hold the door. It was soon after GHWBush stepped down and about the same time that GHWBush was waiting in line behind me at the counter.

I saw that the young pharmacy employee had a strange look on her face and when I turned to leave I saw the reason why. She was about to wait on the POTUS! The Bush's were/are very special and down to earth people.

After those 2 incidents I started noticing when ever I saw several young men in dark suits wearing sunglasses. It meant that the Bush family was near.
