EVERETT — Talk to the Donald Trump supporters lining up outside Xfinity Arena on Tuesday, and you’d hear a common refrain about the importance of the upcoming election: Everything.

“Our way of life is at stake,” said Shelly Fine, a medical student from Everett.

“For me, this is American history,” said Chris Wright, a 45-year-old Boeing worker from Gold Bar standing next to her in line. “This is going to be a piece of American history when this is all said and done.”

They were among the first to arrive outside the downtown Everett venue where the real-estate-mogul-turned-politician was due to speak at 7 p.m. Wright and Fine said they got there around 7 a.m. A few places ahead, two men said they had been the first to line up at 2 a.m.

Yeah, but she’s not worried because DHS will take over the elections. We are being fattened up for the slaughter I fear. They know she can’t win with the people, so they will rig it.

NEW YORK — Walter Mondale drew his biggest crowd of the campaign, estimated at 100,000, in New York City today in a joint appearance with Geraldine Ferraro and he accused President Reagan of making ‘false and contemptible charges’ against Democrats.

The two Democratic candidates were cheered by thousands at a traditional pre-election lunch-hour rally in New York’s Garment District. The streets were closed to traffic and people hung out of windows, dropping confetti and rolling white streamers down from eight stories up.

I bet the number was inflated like the million man march was!

And the important thing, isn't one particular crowd, it is how big the crowds are consistently.

You don’t think the fact that he had some movie stars with him like Paul Newman, didn’t affect the crowd size?
