NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s conversion to social activism coincided with his romancing of a hip hop DJ of Egyptian descent who has frequently spoken about perceived racial injustices and “Islamaphobia” in the U.S.

(Twitter/AP) Kaepernick, 28, who has come under fire for his decision to remain seated during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner before San Francisco 49ers games, reportedly began dating Hot 97 DJ and MTV host Nessa Diab in July 2015. A few months later, his social media posts began to reflect the Black Lives Matter and Muslim activism of Diab.
"History!" Kaepernick wrote on Instagram Oct. 15, when he marked 50 years since the Black Panther Party was founded.
Kaepernick has posted 170 photos or videos on his Instagram account in the four years since he created it. Most of his first 128 posts were pics of him in football gear, publicity photos or shots taken with friends. But 31 of his last 42 posts have strong social justice connotations, often featuring quotes from radical Nation of Islam leader Malcolm X, Black Panthers founder Huey Newton and cop killer Assata Shakur. During a Sunday news conference about the flag flap, Kaepernick dressed in a black hat with a large, white “X” and a T-shirt that featured photos of Cuban despot Fidel Castro and Malcolm X.

I had one phone call when he arrived, just to say he was there, and one call about 2 weeks before graduation, just confirming he was on target to be promoted and to ask if we planned to come, only the briefest conversation. My son was at San Diego. My husband’s two sons went through PI, as did he. His father was in USMC in WWII at Peleliu. My husband and I met through the USMC parents’ internet board, then my son and his younger were roommates after my son completed infantry school.

When this POS puts on the uniform of the NFL, “National” Football League, when he takes that field as an employee of the NFL and is representing the NFL to a national audience.
I work for a major company. When I speak before a large audience, sometimes it is an international audience, I am representing my company. Not myself. I am an employee.
I can speak my freedom of speech on my own time.
But not when I am representing my company. If I was before an audience on company time, being paid to do so, and I go off subject and start ragging on whatever I feel angry about - let us say I decide I believe in nudity and that America is an evil nation because we cannot go about nude while shopping in the mall, and I pull my pants down and fling my shirt to the side and wave my dong about... well, I could say “freedom of speech” but I would be fired.
I hold the NFL responsible. I suppose my company could also choose NOT to fire me, and think my nudity antic is a good idea. I guess that is their choice - but likely a lot of other people would be disgusted with my company. But I will guarantee they will fire me and no amount of saying “freedom of speech” is going to save my job.
The NFL needs to fire this guy. If they allow this, then that means the NFL SUPPORTS HIS POSITION. They have every right to fire this employee. He can rag on the American flag on his own time. But the NFL doesn’t have to allow this on THEIR TIME.
But if they do, to hell with the NFL. I had season tickets during the Montana days with the 49ers. Today I am a Patriots fan, 49ers (but maybe not), and Chicago Bears fan.
But if the NFL allows this to go on, I blame the NFL much more than these idiots in the uniform doing these antics.
