As I understand it, Australia will NOT just take in anyone.
Don't you have to prove that you'll be law-abiding, and bring a *needed* skill?
In addition, unlike other countries, you can't just give a "gift" of several million dollars to the government to show your good intentions?
I know that the USA is one of few countries that tax the heck out of their citizens when they live abroad.
So even if Streisand moved, she'd still pay US taxes out the wazoo.

Somehow I don't believe she is that much of a liberal to part with perhaps half of her fortune, to live in a country that may tolerate her at best.

If she is short on cash, I will pay for her “one way ticket” to Australia if she promises not to come back. The promise must be in a contract with penalties for coming back. I think twice the cost of the ticket plus a public apology would be about right.
