I’d seen him, but with a name like Kaepernick, I didn’t realize he was African-American (or Halfrican?). I guess, like Obama, also raised by white folks, he had to go radical and be “down with the struggle” to prove himself to be Authentically Black, and also to hold San Francisco Values (anti-American).
There is a vast socio-economic upside to choosing the non-white side as your so-called (Marxist) identity; there is equally a vast downside to choosing the white side.
