and even India aside, most families, everywhere, suffer ostracizing when people learn they have murderers in the family. So no excuse. But since we can't jail him how about we keep the family together and deport them as undesirables instead before he forgets his meds and stabs a hotel guest?

Apparently the issue is not being ostracized for having an attempted murderer in the family but for having an incarcerated attempted murderer in the family.
