"If in 96 days Trump loses this election, I am pointing the finger directly at people like [House Speaker] Paul Ryan and [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham and John McCain and John Kasich and Ted Cruz — if he won't endorse — and Jeb Bush and everybody else that made promises they're not keeping," Hannity exclaimed, later threatening to endorse Ryan's far-right primary challenger. The bombastic diatribe against the so-called GOP establishment was nothing new from Hannity. For years, he had cast himself as an outside crusader defending conservative values and principles from a liberal president and, even worse, cowardly Republicans who would allegedly bow to that president's demands. But in 2016, the criticism from Hannity and a vocal faction of the conservative news media reached a fever pitch. The occasional needling of Republicans morphed into full-blown, searing criticism. Even figures like Ryan and Cruz, considered by most to have iron-clad conservative credentials, were no longer safe. In fact, throughout the election season, it has appeared that Republicans have fielded more attacks from their supposed friends on the right than their political opponents on the left. It's an incidental twist, considering how Republicans helped foster the growth of the conservative news media in order to avoid the skewering of mainstream journalists. This article indulges in the same old Dem talking points that conservatives are dumb, knuckle draggers screaming at the TV. How long have we heard this; do you remember the attacks on Reagan, that he was stupid! This is the redux as it channels Elenore Clift. Steve Hayes raved about this article and he spends almost every TV minute attacking Trump. Frankly, on a bare bones minimum Trump has said stupid things but he is not a racist. (If he is a racist, Joe Biden, Harry Reid and Al Sharpton are extreme racists.) However Hillary is a criminal, a liar and in one particularly horrible instance watched our boys die in Benghazi while refusing to send military help. That was done so she could advance her own political career. She then lied about it to the family of the slain, and then lied about lying. She is immoral, reckless, and put the nation at grave risk with her ownership of unprotected email servers that contained US classified information; all to hide the evidence of her own dubious enriching schemes of selling her office for money.
Hillary Clinton has slut-shamed the rape victims of her husband;
she has defended a rapist of a little girl by saying that the victim was 'asking for it';
she and her husband pardoned unrepentant, murderous FALN terrorists in order to garner Puerto Rican votes in NY;
she and her husband sold Marc Rich, the number one tax cheat in US History, and on the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted, a federal pardon for cash;
they pardoned drug dealers for cash;
the Clinton Foundation has taken contributions from the worst human rights offenders on Earth, from selling rides on Air Force One to insider trading on cattle futures, they have turned their “political service” into hard cash.
Yet the GOPe cannot bring itself to talk about these things, or the abomination of the last 8 years in both the domestic and international arenas. They seem to be afraid to mention that they have enriched a psycho Islamic state, one that executes children, and provided them with the means, in back alley paper bags full of cash, to spread terrorism around the world. This Administration has gladly walked Iran out of the dungeon of pariah-hood, down the aisle into the fellowship of nations, so they can now access further weaponry and reach their goal of becoming a nuclear power.
This Administration has allowed weapons of mass destruction to be used in Syrian and diminished America's standing by doing nothing after threatening retaliation;
they have permitted the growth of ISIS and foolishly told the world it was the JV team, while the cancer has spread around the world;
they have manufactured false military intelligence to coincide with their wrongheaded belief that ISIS was well contained – thereby cementing US inaction! They are the authors of ISIS;
they have systematically weakened our military, and allowed our Navy to become the object of mockery throughout the world;
they have offered incredibly stupid apologies for their crooked view of America's history;
they have been the drunken, misguided stewards of the worst economic malaise in US history;
they have continually lied about a failing Obama-Care, both to pass it, and as a huge impediment to the economy;
they have corrupted the Department of Justice and the FBI to protect their own wrongdoing, and have diminished these institutions;
these continual abuses demand the use of a Special Prosecutor;
they have installed unconstitutional regulations by fiat, at a huge cost to the American economy;
they have spied upon and threatened US journalists and threatened news outlets and websites who do not kowtow to their propaganda;
they have loosed the IRS on political opponents - which was an article of impeachment for Richard Nixon who had tried to do the same thing but was thwarted by a much more politically neutral IRS;
they have not had the slightest hesitation of using the awesome police powers of the state to silence, threaten, fine, intimidate and jail political opponents.
But worst of all these, and what this article missed, is that their lapdog mainstream media remains silent throughout!!! AND STEVE HAYES AND OLIVER DARCY SAY BREITBART IS THE PROBLEM???? Democracy does not work without an adversarial press, and the lack of a free press is diminishing our freedoms. After eight years we are living much closer to a Soviet model where the press religiously parroted the party line, which, in our case is the Democratic Party line. This is why the media covers Trump University rather than Obama’s explicit falsification of military intelligence on ISIS, or how we failed to stop the use of weapons of mass destruction in Syria. The free press is supposed to be the guardian of our rights and the watchdogs of government, but they have really been the guardians of the Democratic Party and the watchdog over Donald Trump’s real estate school, and Oliver Darcy and Steve Hayes don't get it. We are living in Pravda world, we are in the Soviet Union, we are living in a place where Hillary Clinton gives orders to a subservient Chris Matthews on a hot mike on how to stop Trump, and we are supposed to ignore that????? We are supposed to yell at Breitbart and Hannity, we are supposed to blame Rush Limbaugh for the lack of Republican presidents? This is madness. They are the only ones fighting back, while Oliver Darcy mimics the NY Times - this article may have been written by the DNC.
Here’s a tip to the GOPe if they feel like talking. Don’t mention Trump. Don’t mention conservatives. Don’t mention Republicans. Take a lesson from the Democratic Alinsky Communist world and stay on message every waking hour and every waking day. Talk about Hillary, Obama and the destruction of America’s freedoms, economy, military, institutions, education, standing in the world and our Constitution.

I agree with your assessment. The GOP-E and even many rank and file GOP can’t seem to NOT self flagellate when the left wing goes into hysterics with its smear machine. Rather than simply replying when asked about something in a way that clearly smears Trump you have those like Ryan that can’t seem to figure out the art of saying “I really don’t know exactly what was said and I’m not going to comment.”. I might add that the “conservative media” has always been broken because it has never really achieved escape velocity from the messaging of the left wing liberal media.
There is only a handful of online media including Breitbart, Drudge Report, and even Infowars (never thought I’d include that one) that doesn’t parrot the left wing messaging agenda. There is also the blogosphere which has done a yeoman’s job of expanding the push back against the pravda that is the msm. Even our talk radio titans often take their lead from the NY times, the AP, or any number of left wing sources and that isn’t even the worst part. The truly horrible part is that they start out with the context provided by the msm when they should be presenting an alternate context entirely.
I’ve seen so called conservative media join in the destruction of our own candidates simply by contributing to the echo chamber of lies by adding credibility to the false narrative of the left.
What we need is not more Foxnews. What we need are networks, cable news that is more like Breitbart, more like Drudgereport. We need media that drives and equal and alternative perspective to the left and the political class. We don’t need more Glenn Beck’s with their warped pollyanna coexistence strategy with the msm. We need media and leaders that will go out there ever day and rebuke, challenge, offer alternatives, and do battle with the narratives of the left.
When the liberal statism of the establishment Republicans became clear, it also became clear that they would rather lose their seats in Congress and be ruled by a communist Democrat Party than act on any sort of conservative principles. Neo Conservatives are not conservative. They are merely efficiently warlike. Establishment conservatives hold no conservative values in practice though they do observe those principles from time to time with their tongues. Conservative for all of them is no more than a brand name that they would like to think is copyrighted.

This is just a joining in with Dem/Hillary’s Trump KKK speech/propaganda by GOPe/Globalist/Neo-Con/Cruzers who constantly put Trump and his supporters down. The people espousing this dogma are our enemies. Millions of Trump supporters/America First Nationalists will never forgive or forget these spoilers and we are the majority of voters. This was always a Populist Nationalist country until Wilson and even after that neither Republicans or Democrats dared to stray far from the basic tenants of Nationalism and America First Populism until after WWII. Since then, all bets have been off as one lie after another has been used to justify the destruction of the industrial and manufacturing muscle of this country.
Academic social engineers have invented one way after another to cut the American electorate into ever smaller slices then combine the slices every other year to win a majority here or there. That sort of divide and conquer strategy only works until those being divided realize that they have more in common with one another than with the people doing the dividing.
Maybe people have finally realized that good "capitalist" "free enterprise" companies like Bain Capital that deliberately put companies deeply in debt then bust them out are no different than the Mafia running a business into the ground then busting it out. Groups do exactly the same thing the Mafia does and aren't bothered with minor details like violation of RICO statutes which is exactly what should apply to such Holding Companies as well as the Clinton foundation.
People who shrug off the shipping of millions of jobs overseas are well on the way to enslaving themselves.
This election will tell whether or not people are still suckers for catch phrases and slanders. If Trump loses, there's no peaceful way to recover.
