No NFL team wanted to pay what the Niners were asking ... Kaepernick's contract with the Niners is substantial ... combine that with character issues and his questionable QB skill set and his appeal factor diminishes to zero.

yes, and he knows that. IMHO, he is doing this to force the 49ers to keep him instead of cutting him which would basically force him into retirement since no one would pick him up. if they cut him he can claim it was because of his position.
