It appears Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe was banking on a precious metal inflow from Rio to fix his nation's ailing economy as he has ordered the arrest of all 31 Zimbabwean Olympic athletes arrested and detained for daring to return home with no medals.

Southern Rhodesia was a vibrant and thriving country rich in farming and Chromium. It was over run by communists and totally destroyed by tribalism. All productive people are gone. All you have left is an armed class of communists thugs. They need a good invasion and a massive clean out of their communist government. Mugabe needs to be hung on TV.
I suspect some of those White athletes haven’t lived in Zim for years.

How eager will future Zim athletes be to enter the Olympics if this is the possible outcome? Did’nt Sadamm Hussein’s sons do the same thing before they were finally put down?

Nigeria is not much better. If it was out of Australia, it has a has a high degree of credibility. All bets are off if any of these show up in a foreign embassy or consulate and request asylum.

There were protests at the Willows Medical Centre earlier this year after Dr Nyatsuro was accused of seizing land from Zimbabwean tobacco farmers.
Phillip Rankin and his wife Anita were evicted from the £1 million farm by a gang of 20 men armed with AK47 guns in February.
The valuable 2,000-acre property was seized and given to Zimbabwean-born Dr Nyatsuro who lives 7,500 miles away in Nottingham.
The wealthy GP, who moved to Britain in 2000 and owns a clinic specialising in weight loss techniques, is believed to be close to dictator Robert Mugabe.
He has always denied knowledge of the violence used to enforce his claim to the Rankin’s farm, and says he was allocated the property by the state in accordance with normal legal procedure and that no political influence was brought to bear on the decision.
