My understanding is that this guy claimed that God sends natural disasters in order to punish sinners. And this guy was wiped out by a flood of epic proportion. There is irony, here.

The only irony is that there are some Christians running around who believe they are past sin. I am a Christian. I am saved. I am a sinner. I will probably sin until I breathe my last breath. To believe otherwise dismisses the work of Christ on the cross.
