As we begin Super Tuesday, conservative business Donald Trump has been under fire for not disavowing David Duke, the former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). It was a classic “gotcha” question by the liberal media, as Trump has disavowed Duke and his racism in years past.

But what about Hillary Clinton’s record on race? Now, a video has appeared on YouTube of Hillary Clinton speaking highly of a former Klan Member.

Former U.S. Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) was a card-carrying member and recruiter for the KKK. In the 1940s, he obtained the KKK rank of “Exalted cyclops” and spent decades promoting their vile, racist message. And he took part in what was – at the time- the longest filibuster ever against the Civil Rights Act.

As Byrd once announced:

“I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side … Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”

Post is from March 1, 2016, but relative today because of Hillary Clinton leaving her bunker today to lie about Donald Trump and defame his character and reputation.

In her rant today about Trump she once again said he had not disavowed David Duke, which is a lie, she said Trump started the birther talk about Obama, which is a lie, her campaign did in 2008. She called Trump a racist, which has been disproven a thousand times over by people who know him, mostly employees and relatives. His daughter is married to a Jew and he was once dated a black gal, but in her in dimwitted mind, he's a racist. She also said Trump was a conspiracy nut for spreading the rumor that something's wrong with her health. That was the funniest one of all. If the woman is not suffering from Parkinson's or dementia there ain't a cow in Texas. She's also a bigot for saying she cares for voters, but doing absolutely nothing to improve their lives. She is bigoted towards the US military because she left them to die in Benghazi then looked in the faces of the families of the fallen and lied like hell to them about the circumstances of their deaths.

In 1942, 24-year-old Byrd joined the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), whose parades in Matoaka, West Virginia, he had witnessed in his childhood. He was unanimously elected Exalted Cyclops, or leader, of his local chapter.[8]

Byrd, in his autobiography, attributed the beginnings of his political career to this incident, although he lamented that they involved the Klan.

According to Byrd, a KKK official told him "You have a talent for leadership, Bob... The country needs young men like you in the leadership of the nation." Byrd recalls that "suddenly lights flashed in my mind! Someone important had recognized my abilities! I was only 23 or 24 years old, and the thought of a political career had never really hit me. But strike me that night, it did."[4]

He participated in the KKK during World War II, holding the titles Kleagle (recruiter) and Exalted Cyclops [the top officer in the local Klan unit]. He did not serve in the military during the war, working instead as a welder in a Baltimore, Maryland shipyard, where he helped build warships.[citation needed]

Byrd commented on the 1945 controversy about racially integrating the military. Byrd, when he was 28 years old, wrote to segregationist Senator Theodore Bilbo, of Mississippi, vowing never to serve in such a military:

"Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.[5]"

He had earlier written "I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side".[6][7]

"The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia," Byrd wrote, according to newspaper accounts of that period. Byrd makes no mention of the letter in his new book."
