Nice... Just the “debt held by the public”. So debt in the Social Security program, or other debt held by the Government (borrowing from itself with loans covered by itself) doesn’t count?

If you go to the “Debt To The Penny” website, you’ll see the national debt is up $1.2 trillion this year - and still climbing. Probably break $1.3 trillion this year. Of course, that’s the TOTAL debt, not just a chunk of it...

I don’t remember the source, but by 2028, all the tax revenue collected for the year will not be able to pay the yearly interest generated in serving Washington’s debt.

My guess is by 2028, if nothing changes.
