Though police said Ayad shouted "Allahu akbar" the Arabic phrase meaning "God is great" both during the attack and while being arrested, there was no evidence he had been motivated by any extremist ideologyActually, I think if we are careful we can construct the likely motive here....
He yelled something that translates to: "God is Great". Which means he was religious. The biggest religious belief in the world is Christianity, which means he was likely Christian. Since he was a French citizen and traveling to Australia, that makes him a foreign tourist to Australia. Since most such tourists are American, that makes him probably an American. So as a likely Christian American who thinks God is Great, he is more likely to be a Republican than a Democrat. And since most Republicans are supporting Trump, that likely means he is a Trump supporter. And since Trump supporters are enthusiastic for him, that likely means he was animated by his support of Trump.
So the motive I think we need to take away is that Trump is driving people to violence.

the Arabic phrase meaning God is great ***************************** No, it doesnt. It means Allah is greatest Islam is about supremacy -------------------------------------------------------- I had thought it was the comparative form rather than the superlative: Allah is greater ! That is why I now say: allahu aqall! [allah is lesser!] (Note the deliberate use of lower case in the name of the false god.)

Notice how practitioners of the religion of pieces never shout this as they are helping little old ladies cross the street?

“’There is absolutely no indication of any form of radicalization or any political motive in this matter,’ he said.”
I am so relieved!
That means that every time a homicidal or genocidal male shouts “allahu akbar!” while committing an act of violence, it is a guarantee that he is not - absolutely not - an extremist; after all, you can’t improve on “absolutely no indication”!
Whew! The world is suddenly a safer place.

Yes - you’re right. Very few get it that Allah is not God! Allah is for Muslim; For everybody else, it is God.
