I have no pity of any doper who wont take the hard steps to help themselves......
It is medically proven that heroin alters the brain. Heroin is the most addictive drug and difficult to quit. As I said in post 41, my son is an addict. I have spoken to many experts, read everything I could about it. It’s not the same as quitting other drugs, alcohol or cigarettes. There is nothing to compare it to.
I would note that the epidemic started after many states legalized marijuana use. It cut into the cartels
profits. Heroin is cheap, plentiful and highly addictive.
You can become addicted after just one use. It has been stated by dealers, cartel members and law enforcement that it is being actively marketed to white males...not blacks or Hispanics. Hmmm, think about that for a moment. Finally, even though this full blown epidemic is sweeping the Country, the government or public school system has not
addressed the problem. Where are the public service messages, the “just say no” campaign, the presentations from former addicts to high school students. There is none!! Kinda makes you wonder who’s side the government is on.
I pray for all caught in addiction.... and yes... it is hard to feel pity for those who don’t even try...
I wonder to about our government..... but in the end... only local grassroots is truly gonna turn this around... I pray God uses me to help in that fight...
You state “Its not the same as quitting other drugs, alcohol or cigarettes.” I asked you the question earlier whether you had ever been a chain smoker and quit cigarettes and I have to assume you were...because how would you know if you came up with this “rote” statement? As a matter of fact, I guess you have been on dope and alcohol too? Such a “world wise” person with these experiences to tell those around them how to do something you have never done.
