IIRC the last time the GOP nominee carried MA was in 1980.

Not true. Reagan won Massachusetts in 1984 as well.

Also, in 1988, I distinctly remember George Bush campaigning in Massachusetts in the middle of September. He took a tour of Boston Harbor and attacked Mike Dukakis for how dirty the harbor was. (Dukakis was governor at the time.)

Dukakis did end up carrying his home state but it was only by about 200,000 votes - or six percentage points. A lot closer than it should have been given this was Dukakis' home state.

I give Bush a lot of credit for competing on Dukakis' home territory and I'm sure it helped him in neighboring New England states that he (Bush) mostly won.

Good morning Sam and all

Each state holds something to Trump. Votes might be part of it but even in states where loss is predictable his presence and reassurance that he is not writing off the needs of the people and he appreciates his supporters even if the winds of fate push the state electoral voted on. RAT column

NH is nostalgic for him as he has said many times. His first win. He won’t abandon the needs of the people there even if the votes go down

I miss the months of easy participation in threads I had Jan - April when I was living in hotel n had constant internet access

I felt badly reading some responses last night. No matter who you are on the Teump train , no excuse for OVERT rudeness and poor manners. I am one who is respector of all people despite their age, physical situation, color, ethnicity. Now if they are criminals and terrorist or running for POTUS no bars held IF PRESENTING the truth

It is obvious that sometimes passion n booze n fatigue might make us strike out at each other improperly. An “I’m sorry, I was wrong/behaved poorly” etc goes a LONG WAY

Humility and compassion are not lib trademarks or characteristic of the weak. They are characteristic of the powerful.

In remote area n on cell. Just a quick couple comments and my hello n live to all
