I guess this is the one marked with an orange X in the current NHC graphics. This system has a strange presentation in the GOES loop images. It is surrounded by a clockwise rotation, which it initially opposed, but as of this hour, I don’t see any rotation at all, even though it is still a circular formation. I do see some NHC comments that it is becoming “disorganized”.
If the models can see through all this confusion and are correctly predicting a hurricane, I’ll be amazed, but not surprised. Never bet against the models.
