Black Republicans generally praise Donald Trump's newfound outreach for African-American votes that typically go to a Democratic presidential nominee.
But they say Trump shouldn't just make the appeal at his rallies, which have nearly all-white audiences and often are held in majority white communities. Instead, they say Trump must go to the inner cities he's started mentioning in his campaign speeches.
Meanwhile, many other black voters say the New York billionaire's outreach is misguided or even offensive, and they say they still plan to back Democrat Hillary Clinton.

I attended the Trump rally in Austin, TX last night and from where I was sitting, there were several black Americans seated as well, enjoying the event like everyone else.
While I’d like to see Trump visit the inner cities, I have to weigh that desire (as his campaign has to) with the ease at which opposition can be mobilized against him. The media would waste no time in ignoring Trump’s words and showing mobs of angry urban types protesting and causing general mayhem.
Then perhaps they should get off of their Lazy asses and join a Trump rally.
Any inner city Trump rally will be disrupted by violent left wing lunatics.
Are there laws keeping Blacks out of Republican rallies? Maybe they want to be paid for coming, as the Democrats do, but Trump doesn’t have enough seats as it is. If you want to hear what Trump has to say, SHOW UP. Good grief. Some people think they are so special.
They’re complaining about his outreach because they’re worried that it will be effective. He needs to keep giving the same speech over and over, with minor variations to keep it fresh.
Hey Detroit, you’ve had democrat mayors since 1962. Hey Milwaukee, you’ve had democrat mayors since 1960. Hey Chicago, you’ve had democrat mayors since 1931. And so on with most other big cities. And you’ve all had a democrat president for the last 7-1/2 years. How’s that working out for you?!!
Blacks would be welcome to attend a Trump rally.
But then they wouldn’t have a reason to whine and call him a racist.
It is not logical to expect to see more than 13 African Americans for every 100 Caucasians at a Trump rally .
I saw plenty there last night. I thought one young guy was going to seriously go after a protester.

Yeah, sure... when he tried to give rallies in cities anywhere close to minority populations, they practically rioted and then tried to blame Trump for it. Until they can put their big kid pants on and behave, he’s better off not going there.

Nobody talks about it let alone the media with their phoney claims. But Trump tried that in Chicago. Where that rally was busted up by the democrats. It was scheduled at the UI Chicago Circle campus. Which Is located inner city smack dab between within walking distances of two heavily populated Mexican and black neighborhoods.

The one entitlement you can’t pry away from inner city blacks is their status as “victims.”
I can’t believe at least SOME blacks haven’t learned a lot over the past four years; in fact, Ferguson/Baltimore/Milwaukee would indicate many of them have learned that Obama did NOTHING for them - they are worse off than before.
I saw the same there. Plus Trump had some powerful black speakers as part of the warmup.
Well, maybe they will finally “get it” this time around.

Didn’t I read that Trump is speaking at a Black Church this Sunday? I’ll bet he won’t use a fake Negro dialect like Hillary did. He might say that Hillary is WAYS TIRED though.

This whole “Black outreach” thing bothers me. We recently had that issue come up in our own town, where the relations are generally very good. Bottom line is that some of the Blacks won’t take the time to read the paper or listen to the local news; they don’t attend the town hall meetings, and they don’t know what is going on as a result. They then feel slighted because no one came to them and/or their neighborhood personally to tell them what was going on in the community as a whole.
There is no “White” outreach, contrary to what seems to be the prevailing perception. There is the TV news, there is the radio news, there is the newspaper and there are local meetings that anyone can attend. No one comes to the White neighborhoods to invite us to pay attention or attend, we just take our own personal time to become informed. We need to call out the Black community on this big time, and not let the media color this as some type of bias.
If blacks aint interested in listening and attending that’s their problem not Trumps!
If a black audience is willing to show up, he'll deliver it to them first-hand! What's he supposed to do, look at the faces and decide NOT to reach out to the unrepresented?
