>If they did that, why didn’t our destroyer blow them out of the freakin’ water? Have our navy guys lost their will to fight? Or have they had their collective hands tied behind their backs?

Probably the first order Trump will give the Military is shoot to kill if threatened in international waters. Reagan gave that order and send a lot of Iranian jackasses to their deaths.

Iran is now asking for something approaching that level of severity.

“....and a veteran Marine Division that stopped them.”

It was the 5th Marine regiment led by Col. Raymond Murray sent to re-enforce the battered 8th US Army at Pusan. The rest of the 1st Marine Division (1st, 7th, and 11th Marines) was being assembled on the West Coast using all available Marines (they even reassigned Embassy guards to the 1st.) and a call up of the Marine Reserves, which luckily had a high percentage of Pacific War Marine veterans....

The hastily reconstituted 1st MarDiv entered the war directly from the states to the shores at Inchon. Murray’s 5th Marines were pulled out of the lines at Pusan, resupplied, and rushed northward to join it’s sister regiments just before D-Day.

Post WW II, Truman’s Administration, led by Sec of War Johnson, had reduced the military to a weak shadow of itself. What military we did have was poorly trained and equipped. The very image of unpreparedness.

Obama is following this same sort of unilateral disarmament. Unadulterated foolishness. Dangerous to the US and the world, but perfect for tin pot dictators.....

“Why is the concept of having overwhelming force to deter your enemies so not understood by so many in this nation?”

Because the Liberals/socialists see the military as an affront to their desire for government social spending.

Harassing a US Destroyer. Oh for the old days.

Ah yes - Gulf of Tonkin, USS Maddox, USS Turner Joy. Let's be careful what we wish for.

You are right about this being a dangerous time. obama’s war is with people like us and the United States of America only. The traitors that the muslim in the White House with their votes committed the worse act of treachery ever committed against the United States of America and that includes the attack on Pearl Harbor. Each day from now to his legal term ends, the danger will increase exponentially. To what ends the media, the Establishment Republicans , the Democrat Party, and obama will go to to keep Donald out of the White House , no one knows. But expect them to pull out all stops, even to the collapsing of the economy. After the fight they have waged and as close to success as they have came, do not expect them to just to walk away just because they lost an election.

Well yeah he is. For that you can thank the traitors that put him, via their votes , in the White House.

If Reagan was still prez... he would have warned Iran once... and then there would be NO MORE Iranian navy.

Then again, if Reagan was still prez... there would be NO ISSUES with Iran.

Do not confuse the people on the pointy end of the spear with their political masters and the REMFs.

We all got a good look at the modern day ‘ pointy end of the spear ‘ not too long ago courtesy of Iran.

If you are not familiar with the video and accounts of what happened when they took ten of our sailors captive you should do so.

Behavior so shameful, embarrassing and devoid of any testicular fortitude what so ever.

Yes, you saw military professionals who acted under the Rules of Engagement they were given. They could do no other.

If you wish to find fault, look to the politicians that set those Rules of Engagement. If you have any direct evidence that our sailors acted other than professionally I would be interested to see it. Otherwise, I think you should give them the benefit of the doubt.

Do the rules of engagement include crying like a child on Iranian television?

Do they include forcing female sailors to wear that humiliating head scarf? What about blathering to their captors, TV reporters and apologizing?

In fact, the officer in charge did not adhere to the Rules of Engagement as the man’s career recently came to an end.

Here’s a link, story and video of the apologizing sailor trying to appeal his punishment.

Here’s a link to the NY Daily News with a video of one of the sailors crying like a bitch.

Rules of engagement? Please - the behavior of these ‘ pointy parts of the spear ‘ is disgusting - and you full well know that.
