Kellyanne Conway Is Not Helping Donald Trump – And Perhaps That’s the Plan…
The Last Refuge ^ | August 24, 2016 | Sundance

Posted on 08/24/2016 5:32:27 AM PDT by SatinDoll

There were two types of people who attended CPAC in March 2016 and gave Speaker Paul “Omnibus” Ryan (the former chair of the budget, well, actually, non-budget committee) a standing ovation.

Type one was the professional political class, the UniParty membership, the GOPe; those who happily welcomed Omnibus and who gleefully ignore the seventh spending of the nearly $1 trillion, “one-time” 2009 stimulus bill.

Type two, was those who are overcome with battered conservative syndrome and see nothing wrong with giving thanks to their abuser.

One of those attendees was the former partner of GOPe mouthpiece Frank Luntz, and current campaign manager for Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway.

Whether Conway is the hand placing the scorpion into the bed sheets of Trump, or whether she is the scorpion itself, is yet to be determined. However, one thing appears quite clear, she was not put into the Trump campaign to ensure his election. Exactly the opposite appears true.

Conway’s current action, the ‘too-cute-by-half’ schtick on Trump’s immigration policy, is factually undermining the Trump campaign. Then again, shouldn’t this be expected when fellow consulting traveler Luntz and herself hold the same professional immigration objectives outlined in their historic support for Marco ‘gang-of-eight‘ Rubio.

It’s well known, the UniParty has a collective immigration agenda, amnesty (under various “comprehensive” parseltongue auspices), and a quasi-open border approach granting virtually unlimited immigration use policies.

Everyone would be very wise to remember the Senate Gang-of-Eight bill almost passed the house in 2014 because Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, Ryan were all actively working toward the vote in June when Cantor was primaried by Dave Brat. Brat’s defeat of Cantor stopped the vote less than 72 hours before it was scheduled to take place.

In the buildup to the June 2014 House vote, Frank Luntz and the various Fox tentacles were in full alignment with the GOPe to pass the grand Obamacare-like usurpation against the will of the electorate.

The U.S. CoC, Wall Street, the people who pay for ‘the Conways’ of the political class, had it all worked out.

Back in August of 2015, when Jeb was still the chosen choice and when the rise of Trump was the paramount GOPe/UniParty concern, another of Conway’s professional consulting allies, Alex Castellanos shared exactly how the Trump insurgency could be destroyed:

[…] The best way to do it is how Brutus killed Caesar. Get real close, snuggle up, and shiv him in the ribs.

If by “shive him in the ribs” Castellanos was referring to having Trump’s campaign manager directly and unilaterally begin to contradict the very platform that gained Donald Trump so much enthusiastic support, then it appears the Castellano’s plan is well underway.

In the past four days, it appears Mrs. Conway -a long term advocate for the GOPe position– has begun to undermine her own candidate:

Conway attempted to clarify Trump’s stance on immigration, saying he wants to ensure the law is enforced…. “to be determined“, she says.

“What he supports is to make sure that we enforce the law, that we are respectful of those Americans who are looking for well-paying jobs, and that we are fair and humane for those who live among us in this country,” she said.

It appears Mrs. Conway is quite adept at creating just the right size crack in her candidate’s armor that will allow the circling MSM to drive their wedge lustfully into the opening and provide themselves the demoralizingly joyful “we told you so” to Donald Trump supporters. “Isolate-Ridicule-Marginalize” ~Saul Alinsky

And Conway’s veiled efforts are not going unnoticed:

Mickey Kaus, an overwhelmingly decent man, is being overly generous with the use of “suggestive generalities“. What Kellyanne Conway is actually doing is far more damaging, far more demoralizing.

And with the 25+ year political pedigree of Mrs. Conway in mind, and knowing her rolodex is jammed full with a who’s-who of the professional UniPartyparty apparatus, and knowing she is a walking gatekeeper for Billionaire Robert Mercer, well… it ain’t because she’s new or naive to this process – Conway knows exactly what she’s doing.

…and none of it is good:

And it ain’t just Mickey, Byron and us noticing:

@04:16 “this could be my shortest book tour ever”… [Quote from Ann Coulter]

Some political followers who also travel through the deep weeds have suggested that Conway is testing out “false flags” to gauge the potential severity for backlash.

Nope. I just can’t extend her that much credit…. it just sounds too much like falling back on the old “battered conservative syndrome” hopes and prayers – they won’t do it again, etc.

Oh hell yes they will. They always do.

Breaking the cycle of battered conservative syndrome means you accept things as they are, not as you wish them to be.

If you accept things as they are – the fact is Mrs. Kellyanne Conway has spent her entire political lifetime advocating for, and being paid for, positions that are entirely popular amid the donor class and the professional DC politburo…. then, you must also accept grandma’s odd adage: “a leopard doesn’t change it’s spots“.

Or for the sake of this analogy, Aesop’s fable is more appropriate:

scorpion-frog

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back.

The frog asks, “How do I know you won’t sting me?” The scorpion says, “Because if I do, I will die too.”

The frog is satisfied, and they set out. But in midstream, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown, but has just enough time to gasp “Why?”

Replies the scorpion: “It’s my nature…”

Trump Frog.

“Shiv” delivered.

It’s her “nature”…

This is BS.

Since Kellyanne and Steve Bannon have come on board, Trump has been doing better than ever.

Exactly.

Kellyanne is smoothing out the edges, helping Trump remain focused, while Bannon is still working on his political Battle of Midway plan that will smoke The Hag.

You make too many pure assumptions, without a real basis. Her personal appearances, for Trump, have been helpful. Trump has a good perception of character, and I believe that we should give her the benefit of the doubt—not condemn her because she has worked with other politicians, previously. All professionals—indeed most “professionals,” are not driven purely by ideology. And all former Cruz supporters—indeed most former Cruz supporters—are not Glen Becks.

If Trumps “softening” is pleasing you then you really never understood what was happening to begin with. Clueless. You SHOULD be shocked and dismayed. I hope Trump stops this non sense now. Kelly whatever her name is a loser.

I do not see stopping the illegal invasion as a partisan issue. It an American vs globalist issue.

My ideas? That’s a hoot.

Did I say I agree with what’s going on? Not hardly, but then, perhaps I should be careful not to state the truth, or someone on a forum might blame me for being the cause!

No, the facts have been slapping us in our collective face for decades. It will not just all go away because someone promises what we want to hear.

What would be "pleasing" to me? The possibility that many Hillary voters or those on the fence are buying this clever play on semantics by Trump's and a so-called "pivot";

The soundbyte is already proving successful apparently.

I find the mindless panic mode of folks like you to be...sad. Maybe you'll understand the tactic at a later date.

Nobody is panicking. Trump is getting and taking bad advice. I can’t panic because I think it is too late to save the USA politically and economically. We are too divided for that. The answers will be non political. So why panic?

Excellent mini-rant, perspective, and pep-talk. Thanks for shepherding panicky Freepers.

There was also another one of those "Look at the Shiny Keys!" threads (originated at Salon) in which a comment from Roger Stone's book over Chelsea's "Dad" became another "OH NOES!!" moment.

It's going to be a bit difficult keep our flock focused.

Yes, there IS panic. At all levels. But then again, we are fighting a 24/7 battle Dems, the Media, and Establishment Republican-Globalists. Strap it on -- it's going to get more intense.

IMO, friend, I can understand how this particular "bad advice" could be misconstrued at first blush. The presentation has been altered a bit; But NOT Trump's actual intent on the subject.

If a bit of semantic misdirection works in our favor or a change, let's take advantage of that perception.

I wonder about Sundance. Who is he? Why do so many trust what he says?
_____________________________________________________

Sundance is Mark Bradman of Coral Gables, FL. Check him out on Google. Sundance expects his commenters to pretty much fall in line with his thinking. Not a difficult expectation since many there couldn’t think their way out of a paper bag and so rely solely on him for their opinions. Sundance has been known to delete multi-page threads if he doesn’t like the direction of the conversation, i.e. not agreeing with his point of view. Unfortunately, many on that site also can’t distinguish between pc nonsense and actual bigotry which often is on display and tolerated throughout the threads. A self-styled guru and humorless control freak who often dons a tinfoil hat, he does occasionally provide some provocative analysis and research as well as many helpful streaming links. But I haven’t found it to be a respectful forum for open or challenging discussion.

It’s like talking into a hurricane.

Amazing the number of folks so easily swayed by the very media they claim to hate.

I think it is too late to save the USA politically and economically.

You may be right.

That said, the key to any slim chance of our survival is...addressing the Amnesty/Illegal Invasion issue, and upholding those laws (which Trump emphatically maintained *would* indeed be the case.)

("Like talking into a hurricane") GREAT description, lol.

Amazing the number of folks so easily swayed by the very media they claim to hate.

Hear ya.

Even though they know and realize the media lies and spins like a top 24/7, they forget that they haven't a lick of cred. Our side must be reminded to hold their ground and dismiss the "expert opinion" of paid media operatives.

Pure speculation on your part. The border fence has already been budgeted. Current law exists, if inforced, will prevent mass immigration. The H-1B visa and refugee programs are run by the Dept. of State, which is part of the Executive Branch.

Trump, as president, can reverse all of this without the “help” of the GOPe or congress.
