Put more security on to ‘keep people out’
Double up on patrols to ‘keep people out’.
Like on the Mall in DC (vicinity of most DC monuments/memorials) normally a Ranger or two would be around for ‘emergencies’, volunteers man most of the booths - at least in the real popular areas - Metro Police also in area for ‘trouble’.
Have a shut down and you have to break out barricades, place them, assign people to EACH monument to ‘keep people out’.
Would LOVE to see the difference in actual cost to run- seeing as the employees were supposed to be home - the reason for the closure - no Govt funds....
We are really whacked out - EVEN US, BECAUSE WE SIT BACK AND ALLOW THEM TO OPERATE AND OUR ‘LEADERS’ DO NOTHING BUT ‘CLUCK/CLUCK’
