:-) It’s one of my favorite commercials ever - one of my children is from there and it was the most depressing place I’ve ever been. That “fashion show” captures the essence of what it was like - such a sense of sameness and frustration. The thing that I remember most is that it was cold in September, and the family we were staying with had no ability to turn on the heat - IT WAS ALL CONTROLLED FROM DOWNTOWN!! Some bureaucrat in an office in downtown Moscow turned the heat on in October. The closer you were to the city center the hotter your apartment would be, and the further out you were the colder it was.

Such is socialism.

I know someone who took Holy Bibles there to Moscow. Old ladies used to hang out in the church so they wouldn’t freeze.
