Obama eyes busy fall after return from summer vacation

President Barack Obama returned from vacation Sunday, ready for a busy fall season and more battles with Congress over Zika funding, the federal budget and $400 million the administration paid Iran this year for the never-completed sale of military equipment.

Obama is also expected to campaign doggedly throughout October to help elect Democrat Hillary Clinton as president.

A theoretically rested president returned to the White House after a 16-day getaway to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, with his wife, Michelle, daughters Malia and Sasha, and their dogs. He played 10 rounds of golf and went out to dinner eight times.

A press release Pravda would be envious of.

I had a hunch, based upon the subpar writing.

My hunch panned out.

Note the very conversational, unprofessional writing:

Obama will be at the White House for about a day before hitting the road again Tuesday to survey damage from heavy flooding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, that killed at least 13 people and displaced thousands more.

The president had resisted pressure from Louisianans and others to interrupt his vacation to go meet with officials and flood victims, and the White House stressed that he was receiving regular briefings on the flooding during the vacation. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump filled the void created by Obama's absence, touring the ravaged area Friday with his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

With Congress still on a seven-week break, Obama and aides probably will focus on what the White House can get from lawmakers before they leave town to campaign for re-election. Congress returns after Labor Day, and the House and Senate will have just a month to pass a catch-all spending bill by the end of the federal budget year on Sept. 30 to keep the government operating.

Then see the picture, above.

Never mind Jeh Johnson calling the vacation part of a “busy schedule”.

A corrupt government and a corrupt media go hand in hand.

I think there is a loophole that allows him to fill the seat by his order alone if congress isn’t in session. Don’t they break for the holidays? Congressional members need to take turns keeping a quorum or whatever minimum is needed present until after January 20th.

After a most wonderful 16 day beach vacation last summer, I wanted one of those big European full August vacations.

Last summer we got a great deal. Something like 40 percent off and our late summer vacation stretching into August was moved forward to middle August. We lucked out like crazy.

We started saving money but you know how bills and stuff can pop up so we fell short of our goal. Still, We were looking forward to two weeks. But with the terror attacks people are crowding the home beaches ( that is my theory) so we could only get about 20 percent off for a late summer vacation starting Saturday for nine days.

Last year we booked two weeks but the day before leaving my wife surprised me with extending it two days because a town festival was beginning that she didn't want to miss. I told her you are going to surprise again this sear and we are staying till October, right? Right?

Good news is I read there is a Sahara heatwave pushing up into Germany.

What’s a “theoretically rested president”? Did his ideology have a sleep in?

My wife said when we get back we will book an August beach vacation and then pay into it during the year.

The only reason I didn’t think of that is because it’s smart. They forgive me.

Off on the campaign trail is he? That should occupy him for 6 weeks. Then he can go on Thanksgiving vacation and Christmas vacation and burn the rest of his government paid vacation and sick days, and soon it will be time for him to pack. Can you believe we survived 8 years of Zero? Barely, but we’re still standing.
