To: Pushead

She was a level-headed dancer on the road to alcohol
And I was just a soldier on my way to Montreal
Well she pressed her chest against me
About the time the juke box broke
Yeah, she gave me a peck on the back of the neck
And these are the words she spoke

[Chorus:]
Blow up your TV throw away your paper
Go to the country, build you a home
Plant a little garden, eat a lot of peaches
Try and find Jesus on your own

There's some wisdom in that song.

With Free Republic, you can "blow up your TV, throw away your paper."

But it's still important to care about what happens to the nation, otherwise, you eventually don't get the chance to build a home, eat a lot of peaches, and find Jesus.

So I look at this election as all those people who went to the country and minded their own business suddenly took a look around and said, "Hey wait a minute. The country has gone to hell in a handbasket. I thought we could trust them, but they done screwed it up. Let's get somebody who thinks like we do and have him throw the bums out."
