Not according to satellite and balloon instruments. Nowhere near.
This NASA one is only the result of a global model using surface temperature readings with interpolated infill values for most of the surface of the earth.
NASA has stopped paying attention to satellite and balloon instruments for some reason.

Of course, when one is using only satellite data that goes back to 1979 or 1980 when temperatures started being measured from space, it is easy to say “on records.” But the never say, “we are only counting the last 35-6 years.”
