Michele Bachmann: I'm advising Trump on foreign policy

Tea Party firebrand Michele Bachmann says she is advising Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on foreign policy.

The former Minnesota House representative attended a fundraiser in the state for Trump on Saturday, where she revealed to the press that she has his ear on foreign policy.

“He also recognizes there is a threat around the world, not just here in Minnesota, of radical Islam,” she said, according to MPR. “I wish our President Obama also understood the threat of radical Islam and took it seriously.”

“He’s a common-sense guy, not into political correctness,” Bachmann added, according to the Star Tribune.

Bachmann is already part of Trump’s Evangelical Advisory Board, providing “support” to Trump on “issues important to Evangelicals and other people of faith in America.”

Bachmann, who has yet to officially endorse Trump, launched an unsuccessful presidential bid in 2012.

No, this is not good.

Bachmann is a lightning rod for ridicule, deserved or not.

Personally, while I think she's correct on most issues, I also think she's a dumb as a post.

You'll see the media make much hay of "Michelle Bachmann is Donald Trump's foreign policy advisor." "Snicker Snicker".

She was a great congress critter, one of the best.

A fair amount of people are tax preparers, I wish her the best if that's how she makes a living. What's the problem with that?

She looks like a Gullum-possessed fanatic in that picture.

The media makes hay out of anything Trump says, or does, or even doesn't do.

Letting them win by being worried if they say she's dumb, or stupid about foreign policy is just silly.

Like they know anything about the subject.......

The media: Democrat operatives with by lines.

I don’t agree with her about everything, but she has my respect for being fearless. FACT - she said many of the same things people here on FR cheer Trump for and the left went after her full throttle. This thread will demonstrate how effective the character assassination of her was in the media - same with Palin.

There will always be room at my table for folks like her. I remember well when she went full throttle on stuff we cheered only to have the media isolate and ridicule her because the RINO’s were afraid of the media.

Don’t buy the media spin. Michele had more testosterone than all the GOP leadership combined.

No conservative should make a living based on the tax code. If you can point me to her specific sponsorship of a flat tax or fair tax bill, I’ll listen. But my initial and enduring impression of her is not favorable. And this is not a “slam” against accountants. I spend about 1 hour every Thursday afternoon talking with my CPA. He is a close friend and very trusted advisor.

All conservatives should have a high regard for what she did as a congress critter.

She was one of the best.

It's not like she voted for a law demanding we pay higher taxes, or one demanding you use her for your preparer.

Congresswoman B was so good for us they had to destroy her. She ended up being “correct” on most of her ideas. I hope she helps slaughter Hillary’s cabal.

Your last statement is exactly right, which is why I am one of her staunchest supporters. “Fearless” is one of her best assets, not to mention her good looks.

This is probably not a good idea.
I have friends who were on Michelle’s election team.
Trump needs rock solid stability on his team.

Michelle was not always the most articulate person, but you can see even from this thread here in conservative land just how effective the media attacks were.

She talked the talk knowing that she would be viciously attacked. We need more people like her. She said (then) many of the same things Trump does now and people think she is an idiot?

Michelle is no idiot. I don’t agree with her about everything, but she took on conservative ideas when everyone else cowered at “what the media would say.” She is blunt and not always articulate, but some of you might want to do some searches for the ideas she took so much heat for - you might be very surprised.

Thanks and she was.

She is welcome in my foxhole and not in a sexist way. She had more fight in her than all the perfumed lady boys in the GOP leadership combined.

Prices stayed high for almost 7 years under O, close to $4 per gallon on average.

Fracking and exloration brought it down, not Zero; if he had his way it would be over $5, it was one of his stated policies to make energy high priced, or did you forget that?
