Must have missed this in the KJV

Mormons teach that man can become God, and that God was once a man:

“God himself, the Father of us all, is a glorified, exalted immortal resurrected man!” (Bruce McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, pp. 322-23, 517, 643)

“...God himself was once as we are now and is an exalted man and sits enthroned in yonder heavens...” (Journal of Discourses, V6, P3, 1844)

“As man is, God once was: as God is, man may become.” (Lorenzo Snow, quoted in Milton R. Hunter, the Gospel Through the Ages, pp. 105-106)

This is how you work to become a god in the Mormon church

Mormons are no more sinners than I am. I am worse than any of them in God’s eyes. It is just by his mercy through the blood of Jesus Christ I am saved. I am saved of all my sins past and future which means I am saved from hell. That is the only difference, but it is a major difference.

We used to live in Quincy, IL, not far from Moorman Mfg Co. (No relation to Mormon religion). They produced animal feed, and when the wind was right, the smell was choking.

One day while driving down the street my wife commented about a couple of Mormons going door to door. My 6 yr. old daughter immediately asked --Do they stink mom?
