Today's front page hit piece printed in the local rag today bylined by AP Nancy Benac was titled Trump Lochte engage in the art of the apology. Underheadline, their attempts to atone fuzzy on what they're sorry for or if they really are.

This is on the front page, nothing more than an opinion piece about how they “crafted carefully worded contritions”.

IMO, this is the dog whistle of the day for what will be covered about Trump's rhetoric change, the change the press said he must do btw, to make it look phony. Not one article or mention in this one about the phony Clinton “misstatements” about e mail, he “apology” of sorts.

I hope when asked the trump interviewees make the comparison to Clinton and move the spotlight off Trump. His statements were rhetoric, hers were perjury. I frankly hate these people and would be happy to use Nancy and her cohorts as target holders for the crap they continue to spew out against one candidate. They must REALLY be worried about how they are having to drag the witch across the threshold of acceptance.

Wonder if ole John Bel Billy Bob Edwards will take the high road and say Trump was welcomed by those who he was able to visit. Or, will he take the party line and begrudge the fact the Trump DID visit and the people didn’t want him there. Me thinks the latter.

A little human interest.....first, I JOINED A GYM!

It’s not easy as my left leg has lost half of the blood flow but I can do an exercise bike pretty good. This past week, heh, I went to ZUMBA CLASS!

I was awful.

Man I thought I could dance but I couldn’t get any of the moves and I had to stop due to leg killing me. The class lasted an hour and I stayed the whole time. One other class attendee told me she could see I had some rhythm with me, that everybody does bad the first time.

Well we shall see. They also offer Piletes, Yoga and regular exercise classes.

Yesterday I made a delightful slow cook meal of stuffed peppers. It involved mixing up a pound of ground pork, some pre-cooked rice (Uncle Ben type), some onions and feta cheese. Pop into the slow cooker for about 8 hours.

Well I went to mass yesterday (that Baptist minister really wants me to join his church, btw “Do you really think that little wafer is really God?” he asks. Well yeah, doesn’t he?).....and I was supposed to turn off slow cooker upon return from church.

I forgot. This morning those peppers had been in that slow cooker for almost 24 hours.

Hey, I will try to eat them.

I don’t know why that Baptist guy wants me so bad, what the hell do I bring to the equation? Three meetings now I’ve had with him, nice meetings, he’s been a comfort, but I am just NOT going to convert....just not going to happen.

And yeah, I do think that little wafer thing is the body of Christ.

Sheesh.

Father Thomas Flowers conducted mass yesterday and he looked so bad I spent the entire mass praying for HIM. My friend was sitting next to me and while I knew right away that Father Tom was ill, when Iris mentioned it I knew it was quite obvious.

He was ashen, at one point, while at the altar he had to ask for help. A couple of times he had to stop for being out of breath.

This is why I forgot the slow cooker for my worry over the priest.

And somebody tell the Baptist minister that I know the bible doesn’t mention anything about priests but I don’t care. Most of them are good people who devote themselves to a noble calling.

Bah humbug.

No worries.

Rudy and Christie grab by the neck and dont let go. They will be dong a LOT of news shows between now and nov. That’s what outspoken, intelligent, fierce soldiers are for.

Newt attacks from the other angle, praising Trump and sticking to positives.

They, as well as Trump, are being heard.

This is the beauty of Marxism in that it tricks its comrades into believing the system is just about them when it is really about the inner circle stealing from them

if only all the Hillary syncophants and Bernouts understood this. Well put, FRiend.

-- Your idealism's making me feel ancient! --

LOL. Well that makes two of us being ancient. I don't believe the body politic has the will to apply critical thought. A majority of them have bought the fiction that the press has a duty to do the critical thinking for them.

I figure the globalists win in the end. The US is historically, a flash in the pan. Humans are wired to be followers, and there are plenty of ambitious snakes out there willing and able to take advantage of the suckers. Trump, like Reagan, is an opportunity for little more than brief reprieve.

Speaking of Newt.....he said something during a recent interview that left me smiling.

It was, to the effect, “No way will Hillary win this election. The America people simply will not vote for a person so very full of flaws. Donald Trump will win this thing, maybe not by a landslide, but decidedly.”

Hey....and Newt said we could hold him to that.

Anybody remember Dick Morris? He predicted that Romney would win by a landslide.

Morris now writes for the National Enquirer.

I thought it took courage for Newt to say that.

And I WILL hold him to it.

For Gingrich too might someday be writing for the National Enquirer.

Enquirer!! Newt!! Say it ain’t so!!

Newt’s a smart guy. Far smarter than morris.

As poor as Cuba is, Fidel Castro has become a billionaire through graft and bribes on his impoverished island.

This is the beauty of Marxism in that it tricks its comrades into believing the system is just about them when it is really about the inner circle stealing from them as we see with the Clinton Family Laundry.

Every person in their Inner Circle is exceedingly wealthy to the point where even Chelsea is worth tens of millions while living in a multi-million dollar suite in Manhattan without ever having a real job.

Simply brilliant.

Amazingly, this paragraph is not any better than all the rest. This is conservative prose that desperately needs to go viral all over the country so people can see a well organized view of who they contemplate voting for. A well documented criminal.

My view of a glass filled the 50% line is it is always half full rather than half empty. One never advances the effort to fill it by just standing aside looking at it and bemoan that nothing is happening. Because if nothing is added, it will evaporate into being totally empty save for the remnants of the suspended solids.

The inverse argument to be made is that yes, there are mostly followers but inspirational leaders is what God implores us all to strive for. If not for the whole world but maybe for just a very small piece of it for each of us. Just ask our founders, it worked very well for them and it is our duty to their sacrifices to strive to make it work for us.

Not sure Kellyanne will be on Fox News Sunday. Guest host Shannon Bream was just on Fox and Friends to preview today’s show and only mentioned Rudy Giuliani and one of my Maryland Senators Ben Cardin. Checked Kellyanne’s twitter and there is no information about her appearances this morning.

-- ... the entire fiasco described in Clinton Cash is about to come home to roost ... --

If it does, the press will pivot to "Yeah, but the evidence is circumstantial" followed by, "it's normal."

It is entertaining, in a way, marvelous maybe, the way they spin.

#WheresHillary <- some really funny stuff in there

Great post! It’s about to happen all over again as well.Morph Ronald Reagan ahead 20-30 years and you get the Donald. No surprise. He will win going away.

I’m going to guess your second choice.

I’m sure Jake Tapper has carefully instructed him that all news on the Sunday shows must degrade Trump and benefit Hillary.

Plus, he’s corrupt as the day is long, just like all the other Louisiana democrats. I can’t believe he is not related to the last governor named Edwards, who was previously indicted and convicted; that was Edwin Edwards.

Probably a lot of Louisiana democrats voted FOR him thinking he was the ole’ Smilin’ Possum Edwin Edwards, and had somehow out-foxed the law!

fraud is far easier and more sophisticated.

The old media has set up the cover lie and the digital fraud has been institutionalized.

Absentee ballots are a guarantee of fraud.

homeless shelters are fraud factories of the non existent and dead.

I'm all in on the effort, not just materially (work, politics) but also spiritually. I reject the globalist agenda, and not passively either.

The reality at the polls is that 90% of the time, my vote is on the losing side. The reality of the direction of the planet is that "universal suffrage" is a good thing. It's not a good thing. It is a recipe for takeover.

Still, I completely agree with your post. Well said. Fight like hell. Life is temporary, and meant to be "lived right."

I joined a gym this week also. Got my own personal trainer (well, he trains others, too).

Then on Wednesday, after training and while out on the tractor, I hit a large tree branch with my head! It knocked me off the tractor seat. I should have seen it, but I had my ball cap on and down low due to the setting sun. What a dumb move!

Anyway, I got a bad concussion. I’m restricted from the gym until next week. Now my head really hurts and so does my ear. Got some good drugs in the meantime from my doctor.

If I say anything weird this morning it’s the drugs, not me!

Here’s a good one the drivebys will surely ignore. It’s about “The Cajun Navy.”
Here’s a look at what I did over at AT a few hours ago.
The topic was the Donald and the various claims about him used as excuses not to vote for him.Clarice did her usual good job. It’s here:
http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/08/dont_be_like_the_man_who_married_his_motherinlaw.html

My comment keyed in on a group known as the Cajun Navy who are saving their neighbors and others stranded from flood waters in Louisiana.Below is what I wrote:

“Clarice documents well how Trump made the trip to La. asking the press to stay away since he was only interested in helping those in need. He took a tractor trailer loaded with vital survival items for those who have lost their homes 30-40,000 at least. He did the right thing while zero plays golf and says he might get around to going there on Tuesday.
Once Trump shuts the left down they begrudgingly do the right thing as well.He is leader of men no doubt.
Meanwhile, another story goes on in La. the story of a group of dedicated boaters and fishermen know as the Cajun Navy. Like Trump they decided not to wait for big govt.but to help themselves and in a big way.
http://ijr.com/2016/08/675836-...
Getting 60 or 70 boats together they launched their skiffs and started rescuing people stranded from the deadly flood waters.
This Cajun Navy has saved the day for many a stranded resident of Louisiana.
At first law enforcement was reluctant to legitimize this unauthorized Cajun Navy but soon they too were hopping onto the skiffs and helping out.
When people are in need there is nothing like a neighbor lending a helping hand.
The Cajun Navy is what this country has always been about and always will be about. People doing the right thing in time of crisis for God and country.

You’re right.

I heard some pundits yesterday dismissing this Clinton foundation thing. “Come on. Asking for help meeting someone, this goes on all the time,” one Dem pundit pooh-poohed the concern of others over this thin bribery.

The discussion went on like that and I wanted to scream. “Oh it’s just business as usual”, “favors are exchanged all the time”.

I wanted to scream. If it doesn’t matter WHY HAVE LAWS AGAINST IT? Why should Hillary stop all Clinton foundation business after being President? But it was okay for her to accept foreign money for million dollar speeches as if this were normal.

It’s how the Clintons do. They come up with some boilerplate reasoning and the media runs with it.

Like you said, sad but true, it is in a way, marvelous, the way they spin.

I say if they get away with it then the ones accepting their silly reasoning, are NOT the fittest who would survive.
