The defining moment of the campaign was supposed to be the day when Trump picked a fight with the Muslim father of war hero.
Seems we have a new defining moment : Trump visiting Louisiana while Obama and Hillary are having fun. Together with some excellent speeches he gave last week. Especially suggesting that Hilary thinks she can just take blacks for granted so she does not have to lift her fat ass to get their votes.

The media can suppress these speeches now but they won’t be able to do it in the debates.

Just before Cankles staged her convention “miracle” I thought Trump would hit 3.5 lead in this, and still do.

He’s close. 3.5=59m votes which is where I think Trump ends up; Cankles at 55m; Johnson and Stein absorb 13%.

This whole thing is a setup.

You are probably correct, but Donald Trump is not Mitt Romney. Trump is the horse of a different color you've heard about.

Conventional tactics are not going to work. Trump has been closing deals his entire life. He will finish strong.

If Donald Trump can continue the disciplined and "more presidential" approach of the past week, I don't see any way he does not win in a landslide.

Personally, I've liked Mr. Trump's unscripted, politically incorrect and off-the-cuff style. I found it quite refreshing. However, we apparently have a bunch of nervous nellies in this country who wring their hands and have nervous breakdowns because Donald Trump is not being "nice."

I had thought that the country was fed up with phony-baloney politicians who parse every word and read poll-tested boilerplate from tele-prompters all the time. But this is apparently what the country wants and I believe Mr. Trump will oblige if that's what he must do to win the election. But deep down inside, he'll always be our Donald Trump.

If the race gets so close that Hill has to debate the Donald, she’s done for. She’s not physically or mentally up to it.

Based on precedent, shouldn’t the media be reporting on this as “Hillary’s done, there’s no way she can come back, the DNC should dump her now!”

....crickets

she’s sick as hell..it’s obvious..no press conference. she will try to say she is up so much that we don’t need debates because of fear of a seizure

Looks like Hillary does best with the most indoctrinated and the most naive....and I say that as a college graduate.

I think your analysis is pretty much correct. My slight twist: Hillary is so damaged they are looking for a way out. They will save face if for some reason she drops out with a tie or lead. I can’t imagine the witch participating in the debates. Trump has had a great week. He is exposing her to Blacks and hispancs for the fraud she is. She couldn’t be bothered about the floods and either could her twin(OB). If she does have to go the distance she will be the first one to claim the Media falsified everything FOR Trump. She can’t control her health issues and no one can help her in that Department.

Looking at the graph at the link, something stood out to me...don’t know if it means anything. HRC, even with her largest lead, never was able to match Trump’s high point and he never sunk to her lowest.

I think there is room for more upward movement for Trump, you have voters that just want to see him run an error free campaign and a bit softer tone. His support with women is up 2% point and they are 52% of the voters. This past week and a half is the winning combination of presentation, content and tone !

My guess is this poll is far more accurate than any of the network polls around.

I agree. I've been telling the Freepers the same thing for at least a couple of months.

But I expect most of the polls will gravitate to something like the truth over the next couple of months. They may or may not get it right but they will be in the ballpark. At this point the polls (apparently excluding the USC poll) are just Propaganda Engines for the Hillary Campaign - totally useless.

But I'll be surprised if we don't know who the winner is going to be the day before the election. The polling will get more accurate and less biased over time. Reputations need to be preserved - actually an impossible task but the MSM/Pollsters keep right on trying.

In any case I expect Trump to win and I expect the polls going forward will start to lean more and more in his direction. Some ups, some downs, but a general trend in his favor.

Trump gained 7 points in 7 days. He was down 5 in this poll 8/13.

And it is only August!

It’s a new poll so we won’t know until an election. However, it is affiliated with USC. The trend, at present, is friendly dovetailing nicely with Trump’s speeches, appearances, demeanor, and coverage. Pray without ceasing.

The media is analyzing and droning on and on about Trump this morning. Can’t leave it on longer than a minute these days. We just have to ignore them all and win this thing.

What is the nightly change? For Trump to come from so far back he must have had some really good nights. Anyone know?
