Just think. Abortion has been “legal” for 47-43 years, and in all that time, she has not made any causal connection between Democrats and abortion. People like her can talk for an hour about how the Republicans have done nothing to stop abortion.

If any priest preaches against voting for abortionists, she says: “He’s just saying that because he’s a Republican, and no priest is going to tell me how to vote.” (I know, because that’s what my Democrat parishioners have always said.)

The Catholic bishops have worked overtime supplying people with rationalizations for voting Democrat.

Cardinal Bernardin was the abortionists’ best friend of all time, with his “Seamless Garment.”

Blase Cupich is repeating Bernardin’s formula: It’s just as bad to be unemployed or “undocumented” as it is to be aborted.

Archbishop Chaput just came out with an article doing the same thing:

The vast majority of bishops want No Borders and unlimited tidal waves of Mexicans and Muslims, knowing that immigrants of all kinds vote 70-80% pro-abortion. Immigrants are the bishops’ best hope of stamping out that annoying pro-life movement once and for all.

The most powerful segment of the pro-abortion movement in America is the Catholic bishops, precisely because most people won’t believe that they are part of the movement.

(Yes, there are about ten sincerely pro-life Catholic bishops in the U.S., the ones who refuse to commit the mortal sin of giving Communion to pro-abortion politicians and activists.)
