JTA - Forty American "Open" Orthodox clergy co-signed a letter condemning Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for what they called his hateful rhetoric and intolerant policy proposals.
The letter, whose signatories included Irving Yitz Greenberg, the founding president of Clal-The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership in New York City was published Friday on the website Cleveland.com.
Noting that religion should be invoked with care when addressing politics, the rabbis added that, Nevertheless, there are times when the political discourse veers into morally offensive language and policy proposals that violate fundamental religious norms.
The rabbis core religious values and essential theological beliefs, they wrote, require us to condemn Donald Trumps hateful rhetoric and intolerant policy proposals in the strongest possible terms.
In the current presidential election campaign, they also wrote, we have been deeply troubled to hear proposals that condemn whole groups and which are justified by pointing to evil behaviors by members of that group or religion.
Trump has called for banning Muslims from entering the United States and later, in remarks made in the context of the fight against radical Islam, for extreme vetting of immigrants.

What I find to be highly ironic is that many major Jewish organizations such as the Union for Reform Judaism, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the National Council of Jewish Women, the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee are pushing for mass Islamic immigration.

Hillary will most likely get 70 - 75% of the Jewish vote regardless.

I live in an area heavily populated by Jews (”The Goldbergs” is based in my backyard). I’ve had my fill of looking at greying ponytails and ugly feet shod in Birkenstocks, stepping out of cars with pro-democrat stickers on them. I hope to see them weep openly on November 10th.

They are devout leftists...lokk who they backed in the last 2 elections.

And the “rabbis” all celebrated their screed with Chinese shrimp and lobster sauce on Friday night.

I agree.
Unfortunately, in our recent society, folks have been trying to grow and perpetuate that mindset.

These "rabbis" are certainly not in accord with mainstream religious Jewish thought. They are very very "modern" Orthodox who likely are not even Orthodox, but rather Conservative Jews. If I examined their practices, I am sure I would find plenty not in accord with halacha, Jewish law. To give them any credibility as any sort of voice of Orthodox Jewry would be a grave mistake. They are basically seriously misled individuals who have allowed liberalism to taint their Judaism. They will be called upon to account for this grave sin shortly, as Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are coming up.

They ordain women as
rabbis; of course they are not Orthodox.
'Open Orthodoxy' is a deceptive brand name, an advertising slogan, and an attempt to remain tethered to the Torah world to re-shape it from within, but far from the reality. The reality is that we are living through the rise of the Neo-Conservatives." [4] Chicago Rabbi Moshe Averick, a columnist for the Jewish magazine The Algemeiner Journal and author of Nonsense of a High Order: The Confused and Illusory World of the Atheist, agrees with Pruzansky that Weiss has created a new Jewish movement in America, comparing him with Isaac Mayer Wise (founder of Reform Judaism) and Solomon Schechter (founder of Conservative Judaism in the United States). He compares Weiss's ordination of three women as Maharat on June 16, 2013, with the so-called Trefa Banquet of 1883, which marked the split between Reform and Traditional Judaism in America.
And whereas on May 7, 2013, the RCA announced:
In light of the recent announcement that Yeshivat Maharat will celebrate the "ordination as clergy" of its first three graduates, and in response to the institution's claim that it "is changing the communal landscape by actualizing the potential of Orthodox women as rabbinic leaders," the Rabbinical Council of America reasserts its position as articulated in its resolution of April 27, 2010... The RCA views this event as a violation of our mesorah (tradition) and regrets that the leadership of the school has chosen a path that contradicts the norms of our community.

No ironic at all. HIAS is post-Jewish. The ADL is an antisemitic front group owned by George Soros. The National Council of Jewish Women isn't Jewish in any religios sense and their ownly real issue is the combination of neo-Frankist heresy and neo-Molochitism of supporting abortion. And then you have the Frankist heretics at the URJ.
These are leftists who define their virtue as opposing Jewish interests.
