Cook clearly knows what it's like to deal with a person on a long-term illness in his late friend and mentor Steve Jobs, whose health declined after the first cancer diagnosis in 2003. As such, Cook could recognize signs that Hillary is not well, and is going to privately ask a LOT of hard questions to see if Hillary is hale enough to withstand the rigors of the election seaon once it really goes into full swing on Labor Day.
