Koch Network Building A Senate Wall Against Trump
National Public Radio ^ | August 19, 2016 10:32 ET | PETER OVERBY

Four years after Charles and David Koch's political network opened its bank accounts to promote Republican nominee Mitt Romney, it's now spending millions to save the Republicans' Senate majority from their presidential candidate.

This year's Senate ads will focus on issues involving the candidates, not national issues, said James Davis, spokesman for Freedom Partners Action Fund, a superPAC that is doing most of the network's TV ads.

Most of the ads deal with "cronyism and corporate welfare, and/or spending and government over-regulation," Davis told NPR in an interview. "What we see is that there's not a national issue per se that is mobilizing voters or that voters are encouraged or discouraged about."

This strategy marks a reversal from 2012, when Koch ads hammered at Obamacare and other Washington controversies. The network spent $78 million on general-election presidential advertising, according to the Wesleyan Media Project, which tracks political advertising.

The Koch network accounted for 92 percent of the spending by all conservative outside groups in the Obama-Romney fall campaign.

This time around, the network isn't doing anything to help Trump.

The GOPe are ALL IN for their Globalist comrades, that’s why there is no opposition on their part when the RATS push their Global agendas.

But, when DJT advances his NATIONAL agenda, watch them whip up a furor.

No worries, though, DJT just has to pull a Reagan on them. Appeal directly to We the People, who will exert due pressure on them. (at least I would hope so!)

I’m so disgusted, Scooby, I really am.

Here they have one sliver of a chance to restore America, and they would blow it? You know what? If the people of this nation are that stupid, then they deserve their chains, their misery, their tyranny.

Way back when the stupid electorate voted in Obama, someone told me this country experienced a significant ‘brain drain’, in that its wealthiest, brightest, best talent left the country. They could see, at that time, where this country would end up. Where they went, who knows. The wealthy usually survive somewhere. It’s the rest of us whose goose is cooked!

That is a distinct possibility that most don't want to thank about. That is why I have predicted that a new Supreme will be seated before the next President no matter who is elected.

There are way too plenty of personal issues with many of the GÒPee Senators up for re-election. I’d be happy to see 10 of them go home.

Starting with Maine's zanah, susie collins.

Well that’s a pretty absurd headline.

Looks like the Kochs don’t like Trump so they are going to spend their time helping the congressional races instead. Some of these people claiming to be “conservatives” that claim they are helping Hillary because they don’t like Trump show that’s bogus as there are plenty of things they could do to help conservative causes that certainly don’t involve helping an ultra-leftist like Hillary. Since they chose not to go help Senate, House, etc. candidates that need their help and they choose instead to spend their time on a “steering committee” to help Hillary specifically - that pretty much finishes off any façade of them being conservatives / Republicans.

She looks just like the lady on the Facts of Life...in fact I saw that same lady playing on another older show called “Car 54, Where Are You?” where she had darker hair and a style more similar to Susan Collins’ and they virtually looked identical.
