Graham on Trump: 'He's in a death spiral'

Sen. Lindsey Graham is worried Donald Trump's floundering presidential campaign will cost the Senate Republicans their majority.

"People are getting pretty nervous about our candidates because he's in a death spiral here and nobody knows where the bottom is at," the South Carolina Republican told the New York Times.

The Republican presidential nominee overhauled his campaign this week following a string of controversial comments that angered many in the party. But it is unclear if that will help Trump avoid the fall he's seen in recent national and state polls.

Specifically, Republicans worry that Trump's struggles in the swing states of Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and North Carolina — where Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has clear advantages in many polls — will determine the control of the Senate in November.

I think this will have an opposite affect. People will hear these RINOS bitch and moan about Trump and make people want to vote for him even more.

It has and it is nothing more than “projection” on Linseed’s part. Next time he is up he will be primaried for sure. I will definitely send $$$ to his challenger.

It is too bad he has said this as I think Trump is doing much better in his speeches and watching what he says over the last week or so. Just saying.

Graham did not recognize his own campaign's death throws. He is unqualified to gauge the health of any other campaign. I think Trump is doing just fine. And I have a track record proven far more accurate than Graham's. After all, I knew Graham's campaign was a joke on day one.

I suppose that Sen. Graham wants to make sure that people don’t forget that he is still there. “Hello? Please don’t forget me. Hello, is anyone there?”

Trump is attempting to create his own perception, and I think he is being successful. People will start seeing him as the President, making it far easier for people to go and vote for him. That's not a man in a death spiral.

I want to see what happens at his Michigan rally tonight. He can springboard off of his recent speeches and his appearance in Louisiana and make this a pivotal moment.

I know it's not very Christian, but I hate Graham, Kristol, et al. Truly hate them.

The media, the Dems, the RINOs and the CONservatives are all spewing their “Trump is Done” stories in a torrent now. I guess they can read the writing on the wall that the protector of their globalist gravy train, Hillary, is beginning her fade, and their all out assault to take Trump out has failed. Goober and Friends are trying one last assault on Team Trump before Labor Day.

If Trump wins in November this little twinkle toed turd would be persona-non-Grata in a Trump administration and I would pull in the head of the South Carolina Republican Party and say if you want any sort of favors and perks from this administration you best be looking for someone other than ferret face for your senator next time. I wouldn’t even acknowledge his existence and actively and openly seek a primary challenger against him.

I don’t recall ever hearing Rush or Levin working to promote a primary challenge to this guy. Strange eh?

Let me guess, was his predecessor Thurmond probably far superior (even when he was past 90 and still in the Senate)?

Parallel dimension, apparently. I’m seeing Trump improve every day, and Graham sees him in a death spiral. One of us is missing something - or lying.
