The ultimate Male Chauvinist song? I never really thought about the lyrics. At all. I guess others have.
What was it, the lyric’s presumption of ‘poetic justice’ because a man couldn’t have his way?

I just happen to have it on a CD of other mid-60’s music-the whole song is about the jerk of a guy telling the girl he supposedly loves that until they get married, he’s going to boff any girl who will strap him on, and his “good girl” will have to get used to it-this part says it all-

“Nature’s taking over my one-track mind
Believe it or not you’re in my heart all the time
All the girls are saying that you’ll end up a fool
For the time being baby, live by my rules”...

I always wondered if any girl was dumb enough to think he’d stop the horndogging after they were married...
