If one is unethical that is true. But the folks who do that have been doing it all along just in case

Another success for the Obama administration. Losing a NATO airbase to the Russians without a shot being fired.

I prefer Reagan's diplomacy of trust when he lost the Soviet Union (to history) without firing a shot.

“And yes, I used to be Cuban Leaf.”

...why aren’t you still? Did you get transmogrified or something?

The name never really fit. My neighbors call me Mr. Douglas because of my situation. Think Green Acres.”

Cuban Leaf was a name I created on a lark and never really liked it.

We won't make it in one piece.

So now you're Chip's dad?

(And now I can't get that theme song out of my head)

I don’t think so either. Frankly, I think it’s possible that any day you could try to use your credit card and find that it will not work. Anywhere. That almost happened in Summer of 2008. That’s why we got QE. But it’s no longer working.

And the stock markets are eerily quiet.

The writing is on the wall. Australia, Japan, Philippines, and South Korea need to provide for their own defense and to make their own deals. Free Asia might want to look to India as a defense partner.

“Think Green Acres.”

I bet Kentucky is a fine place for it, too.

I’m retired now and relocating from Maryland to Texas...sometime. Kentucky was second on my list.

Agreed, and best wishes to them.

If we do leave we MUST leave the airbase in rubble, totally unusable. WE built it and WE should destroy it. Might use one of those nukes to do the job so it will be contaminated for a while.......

Let’s just pack it up, bulldoze the buildings and crater the runways on our way out....

It is amazing. I am not afraid of Russia. What worries me most today is the London drift toward sharia.
