One of Mitt Romney’s original national finance committee chairs says he is voting for Hillary Clinton rather than Donald Trump.

“I have decided to endorse and support Hillary Clinton for president, even though everybody else I will vote for this November will be a real Republican,” David Nierenberg wrote in a Friday op-ed for CNBC.

“Hillary Clinton knows her stuff,” he added of the Democratic presidential nominee. "She is emotionally mature and centered. She respects and enjoys working with people from all backgrounds. “She has the diplomatic skills needed to break the gridlock in Washington and lead our country well. America needs a steady hand on the tiller.”

Nierenberg, who first worked with Romney in 2006, said Trump is the exact opposite of what America need

Of course he will. He is a hedge fund manager and Trump is going after them. That is why he is afraid.

Romney and his cohorts have poisoned the Republican Party.

Don't overvalue them. They are merely one group of turds in the overflowing septic tank which needs to be pumped out.

They need to be removed from every position of influence.

Eradicated like vermin is more accurate.

Not a shock since his former godfather never endorsed Ronald Reagan. And the old man campaigned exclusively against Goldwater.

And the claim is that these are conservative?

Ask any Mormon you see if they think it is OK to allow a crime syndicate mob boss to remain in the church.

What this party has needed for a long time is a good enema. And Mr. Nierenberg, you're the s#!+.

I agree.

He may not get it all right, but he’s going to get 85-95% of it right, and that beats the 5 to 10% right level of our last player.

Just a quick check of google shows this propaganda is agitprop BS. From 2012:

Mitt Romney’s biggest Portland-area supporter is David Nierenberg, a Camas investor who often supports Democrats

Nierenberg...is he NUTS? America needs a steady hand on the tiller.” - emotionally mature and centered - has the diplomatic skills needed to break the gridlock in Washington and lead our country......"David Nierenberg has been voting Republican since 1980. But he just can't stomach Donald" .. but he can stomach a corrupt politician known for her mendacity in all things.....he can't stomach a successful non-politician American citizen who abhors Political Correctness....you're welcome to such a man Hillary!

Just like Trump, I have a few regrets...

One for sure is voting for Romney/Ryan. I think these two are taking the GOP down to the point that Hillary and Obama have no opposition.

I’ll take Trump, we need to bust up the RINO’s.

They’re hoping Hillary wins so the Mittens can run against her in four years if there’s a country left. Mitt has zero chance of ever living in the White House. The idiots are willing to sacrifice the Supreme Court for decades. God help us!

Romney never intended to win in 2012. I believe that he is really a member of the DNC.

Who is really who in America is becoming tragically ever clearer!
Caught some of Beck’s latest subtle big lie technique this AM on radio. These people have neither integrity nor honor, only pretentious game playing.

you got it. a lot of the no trump group is being directed by the Mormon church. I have been lucky enough to no a researcher into the politics of the Mormon church and basically je has shown me how historically the church has directed its politician on how to interact in local, state and national politics what we are seeing with Romney and with glen beck is at the direct behest of the churches council and more specific the president of that council.
