"Just checked the LSU fall schedule and orientation for various categories of students has been going on last week and this week. A 31,000 student campus and classes start Monday the 22nd.
Most students would normally be on campus at this point. Anyone heard any news about how the flood might have affected the LSU campus?"
I don’t believe it got any flooding out there. My daughter lives by the campus.
Both LSU and the Federal Courts are planning to be back on a full schedule starting Monday; the University was closed Monday and Tuesday of this week, as I understand primarily because of staffing issues:
LSU will be partially open Wednesday through Friday:
Intersession term will continue.
The Hebert Law Center and School of Veterinary Medicine will open for classes Wednesday, but all other academic units will be closed including Middleton and Hill Memorial Libraries.
Deans offices and the Office of Academic Affairs will be open.
The Lab School and Child Care Center will remain closed through Sunday, Aug 21.
All other employees will be contacted by their supervisors if they are required to report to work.

From what I understand- LSU campus is fine even though they are on the other side of the Mississippi River levee.
