Warning shot to Michigan voters- NAFTA has reduced auto industry job totals in half and it’s getting worse.
I love the charts, and the great info on them....but, to me, they’re a bit distracting.
I’d love it if they could have a jumbotron with the charts on that. Or some sort of monitors displaying the charts.
It the unions. They are forcing the companies out as much as anything. Drop of regulation and taxes will help. BUT the unions need to get real. Just my opinion

Actually, I think it’s possible if the ads are run at strategic times, and on the right shows/stations. It’s doubtful that a lot of inner-city people frequent Twitter, seek out political sites, or click a link to a YouTube political video. But they do watch dopey reality shows, horrid sitcoms, and sports events. Ads don’t even have to be 30 seconds long; a succinct and powerful 15-second ad could catch someone’s eye long enough to make a thought process start.
Maybe I’m wrong; I don’t know.

You are right. Most of the auto jobs left Michigan and many ended up in the south; Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama. Unions ans stupid auto company management (weak negotiators) are the root cause - not to mention lazy on design of product and design of production. “Fat, dumb, lazy, and happy” is no way to live.

The ads work on the doubters, the fence sitters. Once they start to doubt their preferred candidate, the vote shifts. Negative ads work, it doesn’t take much repetition - the repetition is done to get audience, not to hit the same person 20 times.
The irony is, the illegals keep coming here, despite the surge in American manufacturing plants in Mexico. Bottom line- it pays more to be here under the Fedzilla $$$ benefits umbrella than it is to live and work in their own country.
I agree with you, maybe it’s my age but I know a lot of folks who won’t touch a computer, don’t even know what twitter or facebook are but sit glued to the boob-tube.
